The Spurs COULD have a tough time if Manu misses more than game 1. The Griz match up well with us. The Lakers have the easiest matchup, but I can see them letting at least one game slip away.

side not, why is sacrmento making so much more noise and showing a lot more support in their situation than seattle did? sacramento is really fightin hard right now to keep the kings. i dont remember seattle putting up this much of a fight.

The situation in Seattle was NEVER about fan support despite what the powers that be what you to believe. Despite years of mediocre basketball, horrible management and executive decisions in the post Gary Payton years we never had attendance issues. Once Schultz sold the team (which I would have to write another essay about) Clay Bennet was gonna do everything he could to alienate the fan base. This included dismantling the team, canceling all team community projects, and not allowing OUR newest superstar (KD) to do radio interviews, basically trying to keep him a secret so Seattle wouldn't grow attached to him. Despite our "owner" doing everything in his power to hurt attendance, we still came out and averaged higher attendance than many struggling franchises. Due to the fact that Bennet took in the Hornets post Katrina, Stern was gonna do anything he could to pay him back, which meant allowing 41 years of history go down the drain. And the idea that we didn't fight to keep the team is ridiculous. Our shit government dropped the ball, not the fans. Despite numerous protests around the city out shit for brains Mayor Nickel dropped our lawsuit and sold the final two years of the lease on Key Areana to OKC. That means they should have at least played here until last year and we could have definitely worked out an arena deal, Steve Balmer (microsoft ceo) even offered to fund the majority of a remodel but Stern was already prepared to give the team to OKC so he rejected it. If you don't believe me watch this award winning documentary called "Sonicsgate" http://sonicsgate.org/movie/ and tell me that we didn't get screwed. It has changed numerous perspectives on the situation (including mine). Someone who is as passionate about the NBA as you should be educated on what actually happened compared to BS public perception.

People who live in Sac know that if they lose the Kings, the next best option for entertainment from 7:30 - 10:30pm is cow tippin or scrapin road kill off the freeway for a fancy dinner

yea...i def need to check that documentary out n i will soon...but i just dont remember hearing as much of an uproar about it in the media etc. as there has been with the sac-town ordeal. but maybe thats cuz i'm in LA, which is closer to the current situation. pretty whack that the sonics had to go, though. ya'll got to keep the supersonic name/logo/colors, but i think if u ever do get a franchise, the 41 year history still belongs with the thunder...i'm pretty sure that kevin johnson is looking into keeping the kings name, colors, AND history with sacramento, in case the current kings move....i was at a sacramento kings fansite, and trust me, those mufuckaz are straight up enraged. i'll check the documentary, it'll probably change my perspective a lot.

Word, it's frustrating cause aside from the Sonic die hards a lot of people around here still don't even understand what happened cause the media did such a great job covering it up. If we don't get another team by the end of 2012 OKC gets to keep the history (once again, thanks to faggot ass Mayor Nickels). Even though GP and Kemp have publicly stated that they're not gonna have their jersey retired in OKC that shithole of a city's programs already have them and the rest of our past stars in them. You would think stealing an amazing up and coming team would be enough, but for some reason that Bennet feels the need to shit on our city even more than he already has. And if you want to see some enraged Sonics fans then check out the Bill Simmons mail bag from 2008, http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/080228. When you get the chance to check out the documentary let me know what you think of it.

Yeah theyre missing Gay, but oddly enough have played better towards the end of the season without him. Jefferson had an open three, but I dunno if he really choked. The best three point shooters in the league never shoot above 50% for a season, so you miss more than you make.

Yeah but it's not often that you get a wide open shot like that, gotta hit those. Can't believe LA lost.

Told you Durant has already shot 11 FTs at halftime ... a good portion of the time he's not even trying to make the basket , just looking for the foul

Its funny how everyone noticed that the Thunder plyr had his hand in the net and tip the ball in while it was still in the cylinder.........but the(http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5044/5275617931_b084de0ece_m.jpg) did not see it happen that way, I mean even the ESPN commentators where like 'WTF' ?!?.... 8)

That's cause the Sonics were my favorite team my whole life and I'd make it up to several games a year before they were stolen outta here. I would think you would dislike your former team if ownership hijacked them out of your city/state, but then again, the Spurs don't play in Cali

I'm just messing around. It's hard to use the "support your team" statement when your team switched cities AND their team name. And no need to click the link. I already read your rant to Daygo and NIK.

NIK how does kobe's ass taste? :D
my pops raised me a fan of the Yankees, Jets and Giants. You know, teams in the sports that you are too stupid to understand (i.e. football and baseball).
anwas, it must suck ass to be living in Seattle right now. No NBA, the MLB team is a joke and the NFL team is coached by a moron who Chamil is in love with for some reason lol.
but it's great for Oklahoma City to get it's own team in a real sport

yo them mavs niggas be owning them blazerfags, all those professional writers can suck my cock, all them niggas been talkin shit like "blazers in 5" n shit, fuck em all nigga

well do u see a soft spoken durant winning? better to be cocky than not, u need the will, the desire, and emotion to win. if hes determined enough and believes he can do it and just will the ball into the basket juts like all the greats.
let him be cocky, but if thats cockiness i wonder what you would call shaq, kobe, and mj

Pete's one of the better things we've got going for us. M's are a joke this year but at least we got a good farm system. The No NBA deal destroys both of those though.
-
The thing with the Blazers is that they just suck in away games but are a tough team at home ... btw it's fucked up what happened to B Roy... going from being an All Star for years to come to a 5th or 6th guard in the rotation

yeah man
i'm sure if Roy doesn't get injured next year he'll go back to being ATLEAST 90% of the great player he was
but hes got so hurt lately that its not worth playin the guy major minutes this year

they kept pumping it out their about how the playoffs are different then the reg. season. I dont see it, i seen a commentator on ESPN not so sure the calls have changed either. 8)
-
It's disgusting how the NBA always tries to fuck the team that is leading 2-0.
-
^come on...arent u the one who always bitches when other peeps diss the refs? dallas is soft, straight up. portland has a legit shot at winning the series, with or without refs.
-
i'm bitching if people act like their big market team is in general being fucked by the refs... yet claiming the home team that is down 0-2 gets favored is pretty much an unwritten rule and almost a fact... and the game was another example of just this. dallas needs to toughen up but that is a different issue.
-
either way, their both gonna lose to the lakers when they make it out the series.
so who gives a fuck.
-

it's not just about winning titles you spoiled brat.
it's nice to advance to the 2nd round if you haven't done it since 2006. also, there has never been a series between the lakers and the mavs in modern basketball. I want that shit.

lol mavs fan?
-
of course. im dying over here. mavs gave away a huuuuge lead, refs are doing everything they can to make me cancel my league pass. they just reviewed an out of bounds decision orginally called in dallas favor and then gave the ball to portland instead, even though the video footage was totally inconclusive. bitch nigger wallace totally does a blocking foul under the rim, should have been a 3 point play for dirk and they called it a legit charge. i wanna suck all that cartilage out of roy's bitch knees.
-
Ouch. 23 point comeback.
-
A handicap just pushed Dallas' shit in.

Even though I have always hated the Mavs I feel for them. Regardless of what has happened in this series they shoulda won that championship against the Heat if it hadn't been for the refs. But hey, at least Dallas has a team to root for.

You picked the Lakers in 6. :loser:
-
id say lakers in 5, assuming their gonna keep get it going, maybe even a sweep, but if their playing like they did last series i see 7 games
-
memphis in 6
yea i said it
-
OKC in 5 or 6 , not that the Grizz haven't the weapons to beat em but they are probably just happy to be there after pulling one of the biggest upset in playoffs history .. plus they had spent a ton of energy in the Spurs series . Beginning the next series with just 1 day off is a schedule aberration ( even though it sometime happens in the postseason).. Game 1 already looks like a guaranteed loss imo
-
Thunder over Grizzlies in 6. This should be a fun series to watch.
and Lakers over Mavs in 6.
-
Good shit Memphis, unfortunately the Blunder aren't going to be easy to put away.
-
damn memphis is fucking chaos dope

i dunno, man...i see this series going to AT LEAST 6. I say Thunder in 7....Memphis has a good chance, though.
-
Memphis has pretty good chance to win this series, I'd say Grizzlies in 7
-
yeah I was wrong when it comes to Grizz just happy to be here ... they run their offense like they were a veteran team , I'm very impressed how they play the right way
Both SAS and OKC pb is that they don't attack Gasol and Z-Bo on the other end of the floor because they don't have the players to. Marc and Zach can spend a ton of energy on the offense and just own the paint ... but man Z-Bo is on fire right now ... looks like a chubby PF version of MJ , hitting high arcing shots in the defender face
Going forward OKC has to throw more double teams at Z-Bo (but be careful about easy cuts to the hoop) ,force Tony Allen to make J's (he can't) ... this is Grizz weakness here , overall they aren't a good outside shooting team
- Offensive wise Refbrook was a ballhog , momentum killer and he missed like 10 layups ... looked like a Fisher with speed ...

I really hope Memphis knocks posterboy Durant out 8)
How funny would it be if Marc owns Pau in the Conf Finals?

Anybody seen Durant defering to Westbrook the whole night long? :D

Bout time Westbrook and Durant got shit figured out; if they know their roles

I figure the only reason Westbrook played like he should was because his scoring game wasn't on... if he is ON, he will play like a non-pg again, I'm sure of it. Then again, let's not forget Memphis was an 8th seed and how sloppy both teams looked for long stretches of the first half. I'm not afraid.
