I know they say it's usually the best thing for a record marketing-wise when it catches a ban but I'm not sure about all this, they are gonna need that TV look if they want Game to sell

ironic, game's video gets banned, but mtv approved paris' video for Don't stop the movement, after years of banned videos
-
This can work out in his favor, and actually give the video more publicity.

I'm glad they banned the video, the song is GARBAGE.

I don't care if this is the best piece of cinematography ever. The song still sucks.
& Game blamed that he declined joining Illuminati & they got his video pulled. :D

With the way the music biz is now a days, who knows what it will take for Game to sell. I turn on the radio and I hear the same fucking songs being played: Nicki Minaj, Jeremih, Eminem, Far East Movement, New Boys. Right now, unless you're Lil' Wayne, Rick Ross or Waka, techno-inspired songs are really hot, apparently :/
So, unless Game comes with a song like that or he's on Dre's new single, he's going to have a hard time trying to get on the radio. Sucks too because his music lately has been pretty dope.

You said it was dope when it came out :D
Be a leader not a follower. Don't change your mind on something just cause we all say its wack

^ that's how the members of this forum have operated for years.
Song gets posted, original poster hypes it up.
Next person likes/dislikes it - the next 10 people agree. Eventually someone comes it and says 'what song are you guys listening to? This song is trash/amazing' then the next 10 agrees.
Basically people tend to follow what the majority of people say without giving things a fair chance.

Oh right, I forgot. You need to stick by your initial opinion or else you're "following". ::)
It was cool for a listen. Then it just has no substance, replay value, etc.

Some music can get old after a while. But you went from thinking it was dope to saying it sucked in a matter of days.

well he got Wayne for the radio play, only problem is his lyrics in the hook
if anything they could at least just say "G's up, hoes down" and drop that "B" haha

Who cares if they ban a video on MTV? This isn't 2003 anymore, barely anyone watches MTV for their music the past 5 years. MTV hardly ever shows any music, their TRL groupie show has been off the air for years. This is a nothing loss. What they need to do is market the video thru YOUTUBE adds as a suggested video, get the track on rotation in the radio stations in the West and the South (you have Lil Wayne on it, so Southern radio play is a bonus here) And get that thing rotated on Satellite Radio by doing interviews on SIRUS/XM. Plus, he's gotta circulate on mixtapes and the web that "Kush Remix" versions he did which will get people talking about how he said he's cool with 50 on the one version again (sell those 99cent singles). And on top of that, he's just gotta get out and tour. Those mixtapes he made were B+ quality and he needs to market himself by doing some shows here in the U.S. (Maybe even tag along another rapper or R&B act to get his name in people's mouths again, or setup a show with Lil Wayne and Rick Ross).
Marketing today is off of self-promotion, e-marketing (online), 99 cent singles, and lower budget youtube videos (the days of spending 300k on a video are long gone), and getting your spins on the radio (both traditional and satellite) never hurts. Also, if he could cut facebook a check to put an ad on the corner of the screen that wouldn't hurt either. He might want VH1 to play the radio version of the track in the background of a reality show and put on the bottom of the screen The Game ft. Lil Wayne "Red Nation" and that would also sell him some more 99 cent singles.

speaking of narrow-mindedness, you have a narrower music taste than most of the euros here.

That is ridiculously on point. +1.
