Dubcnn met up with Kendrick Lamar at the Top Dawg Ent headquarters in Carson, CA, to find out what he's got going on. Kendrick takes us back in time to the days when he was going by the alias of K.Dot and explains why he switched it up to his government name - and now that helped him as an artist.

We find out how Top Dawg Ent formed and why Kendrick, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul and Schoolboy Q rap together under the name "Black Hippy". We talk about Kendrick's current single "HiiiPoWeR", and get some info on "Section80".

We also talk about the upcoming project wit J. Cole, whether he would sign to Dr. Dre/Aftermath if given the chance, his motivation behind making music and which artists from California he's currently feeling.

Nima you did a great job with that interview, prolly my fav interview ever done on DubCnn.  Kendrick is THAT dude!  Looking forward to hearing Section 80 and any other new material with Kendrick on it.   8)

Super LOL at tha last part about him smokin' weed.  I hope he drops some new and good music tho, as a person I'm not really interested in Kendrick (but I do think his story should to be told tho #feelme). 


And I had a feelin' they fried Ab, when I seen that nigga's chit I lauged too lol (shit i'm laughin now) but i guess that's irrelevant tho haha.
