As far as rap music goes the last few years I only listen to west coast rap.
-
every good rap. also soul, neo-soul, jazz, acid-jazz, funk, 70s prog-rock...
-
Rap - mostly West Coast coz my roots are in funk and jazz etc. Non rap - some examples.. funk (james brown, george clinton...), soul (marvin gaye, bobby womack, curtis mayfield, jean knight...), jazz (fela & femi kuti, hugh masekela, donald byrd, terry callier, roy ayers but his classic jazz era stuff), gospel (aretha franklin, staple singers) alternative rock/pop (flaming lips, gorillaz, steely dan...). And even stuff my girl likes like regina spektor, robyn and florence & the machine.

Soul, Funk, Breakbeat, Drum n Bass, plus on occasion some House, Trance, Dubstep etc.

Everything!

Mostly west coast rap, lots of east also though and a little south. A small amount of Aussie rap or Uk rap.
I like j pop and k pop also.
And other bits n pieces here and there.
