I want to take you all back to 2003 (the year defines who I am as a person), when Joe Budden dropped his debut album. It had major buzz & the single "Pump It Up" was massive. Jay dropped him & he took off with his solo career.
Joe then started his Mood Muzik Series, which was a huge success to the underground ear. He followed that up with Halfway House. A street album which had the people buzzing, if I can remember that far.
Padded Room came out after & that shook everything up. Children were crying at it's awesomeness. Escape Route came next. The mixing was miserable, but it still made me smile. Mood Muzik 4 was a masterpiece and should be considered one of the greatest works ever.
& after all that he's signed with Shady, on a major ready to take on the next Slaughterhouse album. Hyped. 8)

In Da Club came out in 2003 too. What a great year. I was in fifth grade at the time. I believe that made me 10 years old.
But this thread is not about me or 2003.

this is a great quote because it really captures chams complete ignorance to all knowledge on rap pre-50. except pretending to like 90s classics that hes never heard more than once

^lol, son is lost.
Anyway, I listen to a wide variety of music. I'm a real hip hop head. I listen to like a whole four different artists. Budden, 50, Chingy, R. Kelly. Basically anything from 2003. Music just wasn't the same before or since.
But seriously, this thread has nothing to do with me or 2003.
