South African DJ and exhibited artist Leon Botha has died at the age of 26 following complications with progeria, a disease with which he was diagnosed with as a child, according to The Daily Swarm.

Under the stage moniker DJ Solarize Botha performed as a DJ in his native South Africa, gaining attention online due to his affiliation with countrymen rap squad Die Antwoord. Though he did not accompany the group on their live tour of Australia earlier this year, Botha was a noticeable figure in Die Antwoord videos like Enter The Ninja.

Botha’s health had reportedly been deteriorating recently and he was said to be one of the longest living sufferers of progeria.

“REST IN PEACE LITTLE BUDDHA,” Die Antwoord wrote on Twitter.

Die Antwoord seem to be husge everywhere else but the states.
