DJ Khalil, Tha Bizness (i think), Zaytoven (i heard), who else am I missing that's new?
-
my fault I forgot about Terrace Martin too
-
It depends on your definition of "super producer". To me a super producer is either a) a dude that has produced an overwhelming amount of tracks and classics over his classics b) a dude that has produced an overwhelming amount of mainstream hits in the industry... like Jazze Pha for example
i think the West has more producers that fall in #1. Battlecat and Sean-T are the two main "super producers" to me because they have produced so much compared to other great producers. They're ubiquitous.
-
DJ Khalil and Terrace Martin r probly the biggest westcoast-exports in mainstream music today.
and Dr Dre still
Battlecat is sleeping
ZZZZzzzzzzzzzz

Terrace Martin, Focus, Battlecat, DJ Khalil, Quik, Dre, Fredwreck, Meech Wells, The Bizness, Soundscannerz. To me they are all super producers because the quality of their music is always at a high level. Oh shit i forgot Jelly Roll and probably some other ones that be putting in work. Oh shit Scoop Deville...lol West West 8) 8)

LOL, that's what I'm sayin.

zaytoven , but zaytoven from the south
the best producers from the west today, are from san diego .. no doubt
-
Super producers from the West? Uh..... Will.i.am? That's all I can think of. There's really only a small portion of producers I feel fit that cateogory of "super producer" anyway and only one comes to mind from the West.
-
Today in 2011:
DJ Khalil
That's it. He's the only West Coast producer in which rappers from other regions are consistently calling him to do beats for them.
-
zaytoven's from the sco, but he's considered a south cat and rightly so, nobody associates him with his old stuff for messy marv & jt.
i guess West Coast Veteran's reason makes sense. that's why i said battlecat, cause dudes that want a typical westcoast beat go to him.
i forgot about Will I am, he definitely falls into that category
