IMO Snoop should take a year or 2 off... This also means NO GUEST APPEARANCES....He always drops tight verses for features and runs out of things to say on his albums.

Snoop has fallen off, but he certainly ain't the worst rapper out west. How you can say Daz is the worse is totally beyond me, he can actually stay with a beat unlike some peeps I will mention, and he normally comes pretty tight with his rhymes. He not a lyrical genious, but he is hardly the worse rapper in the west.
For me the worse west coast rapper in recent years has to be a female rapper called "Q". She was featured on two tracks on the Escape From Deathrow compilation, and she totally ruined Back On The Smash, managing to stay completly off beat for her short verse, undoing all the good work that Kurupt and Tray Dee had done completly ripping up the beat.
Out of more recent rappers I would say that Shade Shiest is certainly one of the worst. He basically just talks in some songs in his attempt to do a Warren G laid back flow, and just sounds even worse when he speeds up. If he wasn't a rich kid he would never have had an album out at all.

I can't take anyone serious that says something like "it's your fault you can't understand it" (if someone's rapping fast), or something along those lines. That's bullshit.
Delivery is a huge part of MCing, if you can pronounce words properly and I can't understand what you're saying even if I'm really concentrating, then I'm not going to listen to you. It might sound good but I want substance in my hip-hop now.

The thing that really annoys me about 40 is that in most cases his beats are some of the best beats in the industry. Like that L.I.Q song on BLueprint of a Millionare is FUCCCCCCCCKING HOTTTTTT but he ruins it with his style of rapping. I understand ppl like him, and i dont think he is the worst rapper at all, but he is pretty annoying when a bad ass beat comes along and he doesnt lace it like i expect.
BUT i remember on one song (forgot which), he rapps just normal without changing his voice and rapos to the beat and sounds HOTTER than Tera Patrick.
Roscoe - hmm.... he's got some catchy shit, but i think he is trying to make a career from being Kurupts brother rather than doing his thing. He's sort of fake to me, i dont like him.

thats what im saying....i never said snoop was the worst rapper.......im just sayin, he needs time off to re-group. he was the best in his day hands down, but honestly, when you look at snoop now, i only feel dissapointed becuase i know of his potential and he seems to never live up to it...its honestly the voice and flow he needs back...i like his lyrical content ( sometimes ) now, but he needs his vicious flow back, the flow he had when he just came out of no-where and ripped the fuckin shit outta every verse....nowadays, he sounds lazy on half his tracks, and on the other half, he has a nice flow, but he doesnt have anything new to say....i give snoop huge credit tho, hes been at the top of the game for a decade now, and thats a HUGE accomplishment in the world of rap. another thing we agree on, lol, I can't stand e. I know some people dig him, but his style sucks to me. When he triple tracks vocals to the point you can't even understand them without thinkin' your in the grand canyon, I turn the cd player off.

Man, I like you, LOL... but Suga Free? He's hot as hell. Every song i've ever heard him on, he was dope. Even his 'freestyle' in the Eastsidaz movie in prison was tight. His voice is awesome, and he's got that cool pimpadelic flow.

I will admit his choruses can get somewhat redundant, but c'mon how can all the Kokane haterz not have liked him on the "Pop Yo' Collar" OG without gay azz Master P. Personally it seems like most rappers fall off after their first few albums, yeah their good, but it will never be as good as it once was, for ya'll who have seen Trainspotting, "It's just shit". maaaaaaaaaaaan. I REALLY digg Suga Free. I never really put him in the same catagory as E-40 though. Suga Free stays on beat a lil more than 40 does. and Suga Free has something that 40 don't. some funky QUIK beats.

I ain't really saying that AWOL One sounds like Suga Free or E-40, but rather they have what I would call an unconventional rap style on the mic. In a way I guess I like them too since they sound A LOT different then other rappers. So I wasn't really comparing them, but instead saying they have a funny way of rapping. And I can't say I feel every one of their tracks, but for the most part I think they are tight. I really like E-40's early shit up until about Charlie Hustle. I like some of the tracks on Loyalty & Betrayal and Grit & Grind, but I haven't picked them up yet, but the tracks I have heard are pretty good, but I also have also heard some that I didn't like. I agree Suga Free has dope Quik beats and he talks about funny shit. That's why I found myself bumping Shade Sheiste, Quik beats, love that John Doe track, other than that Shade can't rap, half the time he sounds like he's talking, too passive, rich boy, lol. I respect E-40 cuz he speaks TRUE shit. I remember on his EP Mailman he straight out talks about how he raps about what he see's, cuz if he did it he'd be in jail, smart mofo thats hustlin'. S.G.V. if you like AWOL you gotta check out the Grouch, unless you already have. I like Jayo's first 2 albums, but I haven't heard Underground or Crip Hop, anybody know how those are?? I also found myself not picking up Too $horts last few albums, he is a legend, but I ain't really checking for him no more, think last joint by him I picked up was Can't Stay Away. peace!!

i don't blame anyone for saying people like snoop, daz, e-40...are the weakest in westcoast rap if that's thier opinion...someone like gangsta flea (never heard of him but he sounds like straight garbage) probably came out so wack that no one pays them any mind... but when you come out tight and then fall the fuck off, that's wasted talent.

and my vote for weakest westcoast rapper goes to......Caz his voice is sounds like he's been gargling hot asphalt, his rhymes are elementary most of the times and he's got some shitty ass beats...i only heard his last cd, so that's all i'm judging him on...also i don't think too many people are going to argue with me because when's the last time you saw a caz dickryder?

shitty beats?!?....i thought he always had good beats...his last cd was a little weaker than his first...thundadome...that one was hard...or peep his shit with booyaa tribe he comes off...but true he does have a raspy ass voice but i dont think its that bad....

S.G.V., Grouch has a handful of albums out, but I would try to find "Fuck the Dumb" & "Making Perfect Sense". He is with the Living Legends Crew. Some of there stuff takes time to get into, but for the most part Grouch is probably the best, in my opinion. His shit has good beats and his lyrics are down to earth. He talks about real life like being with a chick, but not being serious and telling her your not the one. Also talks about getting up early in the morning when it's chilly as hell. That's why I think I respect E40 cuz he comes true and speaks on real shit. He ain't coming across as a fake ass thug soldier, he's coming across as a true hard working hustla whose Cali Swangin. Sometimes he raps with some wack fools though, for example Petey Pablo, Eastside Boyz, etc. But, that was just his last album. peace!!

ok im familiar with Livin Legends...ive never got too into them...ill have to peep it out...oh and when 40 connects with Lil Jon and the south foos...thats just him gettin in touch with his roots...thats why hes the most southern west coast cat...i believe he has family from the south and went to college in the south...plus i love his south connect shit...thats just me cuz i love south music...
