Do y'all remember this hot joint from Skee-Lo? It features his classic hit "I Wish". I've never really paid attention to this album, since I've downloaded the video of "I Wish". I've known the track "I Wish" for a couple of years now, but I never really cared about the rest of the album. Thanks to gFuNkA for putting this album back into my mind. I need to say that it is really and that there a couple of tracks that are really good. Overall you can say, that it is funky with nice summer tunes.

I bought the tape a week after it came out. Skee-Lo was big with I Wish, and he was from Monclair, so I was like, a local I.E. boy making it, so I bought it. I loved most the songs on it, and still sing them today. I left my tapes with my sister in college, and she let someone borrow my tape, and then it was gone. Anyways, He showed his skillz on Superman, I Wish was tight, Never Crossed My Mind was cool in Jr. High, but not now, Top of the Stairs is still my favorite, Comeback To Me was nice in Jr. High also, but not really my favorite now, Waiting For You I remember liking a lot, Holdin' On is one of my favorite songs, I still sing You Ain't Down as that's to my ex-girlfriend LOL, Crewshaw is a cool laid back song, This Is How It Sounds I really can't remember, and The Burger Song was just straight comedy.

my favourite one on this release

The song is classic, no doubt, but I never really thought of getting the album back then. In Uni they have tape/CD sales every now and then and they usually have some really rare stuff on tape, the CD's are usually just new stuff, i'll have to do some crate digging to see if it's available next time around.
-
i had this on cd but i gave it away.

Damn I Wish was such a tight song, I remember listening to that back in the day, when I wasn't really even into rap music that much. One of my homies had the album on tape, and we used to listen to it all the time.
In fact like last week, my homie was clearing out his bedroom and shit and we came across the album, and Coolio's one with Gangsta Paradise on it. We sat there are listened to them both all the way through, and it was sort of like being in a timewarp. The difference in quality between tape and cd is really noticeable after you have been listening to cds for ages though. Anyways, I'm gonna try and pick this album up on cd cause it's really tight.
-
lol, yeah, I bought this back when it first came out. Decent cd all the way through.
-
ohh chit i forgot about this one... i think i had the cd from this, it was when i first got a cd player but it might of been the tape it's so long and i done did so much drugs since then that i can't remember... i really bought it cuz of the "I Wish" track but i don't remember the rest of it, i was too young to understand good music... i think i gave that chit up to the pawn shop but now that i'm older and alot wiser i think i'mma have to check that chit out again... thx for bringin' back some memories...

Having replied in this topic yesterday, I couldn't believe my luck when I turned on MTV Base today, and the program Flashback 1995 was on. The second video I saw was Skee-Lo - I Wish. Damn I hadn't seen that vid in ages, and it was still as funny as ever.
