Maybe he should stop acting like that old lady from murder she wrote and just tell us.
-
quik been getting alot of promo.thats whats up
-
Quik needs to stop throwing things out and start giving details on stuff hes saying.
-
he touched backdown and heat didnt he?
-
A lot more than 3 tracks that's for sure, but nothings different to other Aftermath albums (besides Eminems)
-
he spoke about 'If I Can't' before too.
-
LMAO, that shit was funny.... 8)
also a few of you remind me of that bitch in 'american beauty'...the scene where she's infatuated with that guy and says i just want to pick your brain...hahaha clowns !

he did tell us - he gave dr dre the clap sound for in da club, and drum sounds for other songs. nothing too major, i think quik just wants recognition for being involved in an album that sold so much, plus he's got an album to promote
From his Hip Hop DX Interview:
I helped with [50 Cent’s] Get Rich or Die Tryin’ . I helped with [Eminem’s] Encore . I did little … I stood in on some [songs] – you know, when they needed me. And, when they had it all together I left. … You’ll feel me, I’m in that mix. You can [tell]. Some of the snares and kicks, and little tabs and shit, I had something to do with.
-
Well, Quik knew how to get people talking.
-
i always thought that Death Row could've stayed a major force if they would've gotten Quik and his boy to sign instead of just relying on Daz and Soopafly. Thru-out history he's always proven himself time and time again. I've even taken some serious notes from him (and Terrace Martin) on how to produce and what equiptment to use. Quik is 1 one of tha Goats #doncheadle
-
U give the clap wooow ::) ::) ::) c'mon Quik you dont need this...

lol, tryna steal some Dre thunder?
-
lol, tryna steal some Dre thunder?
those are actually quik's thunder sounds.
-
Why doesn't quik just give dre the old tomatoe: give me credit or ill expose it. Simple as that.

Well played

Expose what? That he did uncredited drum claps? It's far less of a scandal than you think. If anybody but DJ Quik said they added a sound to a Dre record, nobody on this fucking board would give two shits.
-
Dude he said "50 don't even know how much I did for his album". That sounds like more than a drum clap. Like I said, he needs to just blurt out what he did or stop speaking on it. Fans don't want hints we want the full story.

What does me being, or not being there have to do with knowing that DJ Quik had a hand in more than 3 tracks on that album? I don't need to be in Afghanistan to know there's a war going on.
DJ Quik done a lot more on it, as well as for Busta Ryhmes, and Truth Hurts that he is not credited for. He's not the only one. Mark Batson and others are not credited for big helping hands on some tracks either, but it doesn't mean they don't get paid

U sure about Mark Batson? because on the stuff Dre has done with Jay Z, Snoop, Raekwon, 50 cent, Game, Eminem and Young Buck, Mark Batson has been credited as co producer and instrumentalist for all of them songs. Out of all of dre's "newish" staff, Batson has recieved the most credit since his work on "Documentary"

bad example, dj quik working on in da club was something hardly anybody knew.
im just pointing out that you're speculating, you don't know how many songs Quik has worked on.

Heat & If I Can't, but the 2 most notable ones are Back Down and N Da Club.. Those 4 are definite 100%
The other 2 are Eminem produced, and is rumoured that the sounds in the Triton Rack at the time that Eminem used in Don't push me and the other song he done on that album contained stored sounds on there that belonged to DJ Quik, or were stored by, and because the equipment would have been used by other people coming in wanting certain snares, kicks, drums etc, they "may" have used some of his sounds, which consequently results in him saying 50 Cent doesn't know how much he done for his album, and leaves us speculating which of his sounds were actually used by other producers coming in
Personally, I couldn't care. Without Quik bringing in musicians with him who played a distinguishable guitar layer, or something un-loopable then I'm not going to loose sleep over it

where do you get your info from?

Well, no, but seeing as Afghanstan is a major war in a country that involves documentation and consistent news, it's sort of a poor analogy.
-
DJ QuiK not QuiCK
What Did He Exactly Do?

Poor analogy yes, but still comparative with the idea of receiving news from a source of some sort.
I haven't devalued Dr Dre's skills as a producer or said anything negative about the Aftermath 'empire', so I can't see why devoted fan boys would get mad

i don't see anyone in this topic getting mad, but i see you switching subject.
you're speculating, based on some vague source
-
Hopefully an interview with DJ Quik, and some questions on the subject can confirm
-

It's not really a fan boy thing. If someone said they knew Dre produced X amount of tracks on Dogg Food, it would likely be a similar argument.

wrong....we've seen people of less talent than DJ Quik (i.e. Daz and Sneed) claim credit for Dre beats and people still care then too

thats them claiming whole beats tho, quik just said he's responsible for the drum clap, although I wouldnt be suprised if Quik contributed more than what he lead on. He's still in Dre's "circle" so he's not gonna step on his toes

That interviewer is a 50 groupie.
