oh, okay.
-
is its good or is it like all other releases from that label, who sound like mixtapes with unreleased unfinished shit?!
-
how is it?i didnt like the first song that much.i mean that was raw and all but still.
-
they have the edited version of That Was Then, This is Now on There. smh
-
First the rip off that was the second OFTB bootleg and now we get slapped in the face with some of those tracks but with tacked on intros. Fuck this shit.

That's all I wanted to know thanks. ::)
Another reason why the Ultimate Death Row Collection boxset was so dope.

Another fail from Wideasleep.

The long term problem for WIDEawake is that they're going to churn out so much material, that they'll end up having a large catalogue of unfinished, unprofessional sounding releases that will cost far too much to tweak, mix and master properly. I bought the Chronic and tolerated any initial teething problems, and ignored any minor flaws, but when I bought Snoop Dogg : Lost sessions, and found I had a better sounding Doggystyle than what was on that I stopped putting my money into their company of poor quality
They want to fall back on the "We want to put them out as is, untouched" excuse. They want to give everyone the untouched music, then fine - Put each track on the website for download at $0.50 each when they release that specific album. That way, the die hard fans can pay for tracks twice, but without proper quality control, the company will find it hard to shake off their reputation as nothing more than a professional bootleg company

Well said.
From what I've heard there is a budget for post production and finalization for all of these albums.. a budget the Vice President then pays himself to deliver upon (conflict of interest, much?) even though he is in no way qualified to operate in such a capacity. They truly are WIDEAsleep and no one will ever buy their garbage releases.
I wish someone with more knowledge of the situation with the DR vault would speak on it. It sounds like what's his name has all of their material and that's where the leaks are coming from. Anyone want to drop some knowledge or hit me with a PM? I'd really like to hear the deal.

Too many skits before each track.

i prefer

FTP released that album in 2006

No Bus Stop.. I guess that's him in the chair in the back lol.

Has Check Ya Hood been re-recorded for this? doesn't sound like the original.

Same goes for "So Long". Either they were re-recorded earlier, when they dropped "Missing DR Files" or recently..
-
do all 3 members apprear on the songs? or did they edit bus stop out?

I agree that the sound quality on the Wideawake releases is usually bad, but the second OFTB project ("On Deadly Grounds") wasn't a WideAwake project, it was a FTP project. It was disappointing that that never dropped, but in that situation it really wasn't WideAwake's fault. At that point, Wideawake had not even acquired the rights to the Death Row material yet.
