Grammy-winning rappers Jay-Z and Kanye West's Watch the Throne album may begin to receive comparisons to Dr. Dre's unreleased Detox as the project is listed to drop in 2012 according to Island Def Jam's website.
Listed in the Coming Soon section, Jay and Kanye's album is scheduled to come out next July.
The release date for Watch The Throne, Jay-Z and Kanye West's collaborative album has been released. According to the Def Jam website, the highly-anticipated LP will drop on July 6... 2012. Wow. That is much later than fans would have thought/wanted. Do you think it's a smart move for the two hip hop heavyweights, who were seen going "H.A.M." earlier today, to wait an entire year to release the project? Is this the real date? (College DJ)

Cant see them waitin that long

It's being shipped in August to the people that have already purchased the album. Maybe this 2012 release speculation is just something else, because I really doubt that they will tease a tracklisting, have a listening party, and start selling it only for it to be delayed a year.

My giving a fuck is quickly wasting away....

they better come out with something better than HAM

It's 2011. Singles are always the worst songs.

And it ended up being a bonus track right?

Didn't even really look at the tracklisting. You can't really judge an album by anything other than what's on the disc.
But wouldn't be surprised. H.A.M. is old now.

Yea, definitely some sort of website error. Pre Orders and listening sessions a year in advance? no way
