Gracie IMO still is the best fighter at this point with Coleman right on his tale.

ehh Gracie is overrated as an actual fighter. All he's good at is Jui Jitsu and all of his wins came from before other fighters even knew how to defend against it.

He beat legends Shamrock & Severn  and capable fighters like  Pat Smith, Hackney & Kimo. wasnt like he was just beating bums.

But who did he dominate? Do you really think Gracie in his prime could face the UFC's elite today? No chance. But Randy Couture even at the end of his career was still a threat.

this is through the first 15 not what they did later and although they were 4 good fights no way are they more impressive than gracies 12. Silvas fights have gone up to 5 rounds. gracie in the first 2 UFC's was beating them in less than a minute, and these guys were up way bigger than him, he was always the smallest guy there. he got ken shamrock to submit in less than a minute.. that was his biggest competitor (can you imagine silva doing that to Sonnen?). only fighter to dominate like him was Fedor and that was in Pride. I am not an expert on current UFC but i would wager Gracie would have a contract and be a top 10 Middleweight in his prime. #1? no the sport has evolved but he would be a great competitor. but again the poll is based on what u saw in the first 15.
