Damn you Blue Jays! But congrats if it goes through.

It happened. Fuck you Ned Colletti. Dodgers could have been able to offer a much better deal and still could have improved.
-
Another move that is seeming to get universal praise for the Jays. (Wells trade, Bautista extension, Escobar trade and extension...)
Here’s what each team ended up with:
Blue Jays: Colby Rasmus, Mark Teahen, Brian Tallet, Trever Miller, P.J. Walters
Cardinals: Octavio Dotel, Mark Rzepczynski, Edwin Jackson, Cory Patterson
White Sox: Jason Frasor, Zach Stewart
Don't know how much I really love this, the Jays get Rasmus but have to take on a bunch of dead weight and money. I don't care about giving up Frasor, Dotel and Patterson but I wish they didn't have to give up Rzepczynski and Stewart. Could be worse, at least they didn't have to part with some of the better youngsters like Lawrie, Drabek, Snider, Thames, Gose, etc.

Rasmus is going to be a 900 OPS type hitter since he's going to be playing at a place where he's actually wanted. I look at it similar to the Kemp situation, once Torre and Bowa were out of the picture Kemp was able to be himself.

if Rasmus plays centerfield then what happens to Rajai Davis?

I hope so. It would be great if this turned out as nicely as last year's Escobar trade.

The guy with the .267 OBP? Just move him to the bench, he can be the 4th outfielder. Can't see him getting much playing time now that Snider is back, Thames is hitting and Lawrie is coming up.
