I got an interview with Jewell coming out soon - feel free to post some questions about Ruthless, Death Row etc. The most interested one will be included. Peace
-
Some more info on the making of some of the Death Row classics would be great...
Maybe ask if she was around for most of the sessions for the Chronic and Doggystyle,
Did Dre give her a lot of direction for what he wanted, or did she do a bunch of stuff and then he took the best stuff...
Was it a collaborative process with everyone in the studio at the same time, or did everyone kind of do their vocal recordings separately, etc.
-
since she was close with Dre's camp - when Dre left was she asked to come with him to Aftermath?
What did her unreleased DR debut sound like? When was it intended for release? Did Dre produce much for it?
-
1. Some favorite memories from the Death Row days
2. Biggest regrets from the Death Row days
3. Was Death Row a divided camp, like between 2pac and Suge divided from the Dogg Pound, etc.
4. What was the feeling around the time Pac was shot
5. Favorite songs she was a part of in the Death Row days
-
name unreleased songs she has with dre, snoop, 2pac, dogg pound
who was featured on her album?
-
Was Jewell responsible for the Arrangement on classic tracks she appeared on, how did she help shape the tracks musically (were tracks built up over her concept and signature melodies).
Does she feel that working with George Clinton and Ruben Cruz on the Chronic and Doggystyle raised the bar musically for those projects.
Looking back how would she describe the creative energies that made Chronic and Doggystyle such classics. And does Dre deserve the credit for making all it happen.
Can that winning formular ever work again, or was it just 'one moment in time' (like on "The Chronic 2,Brand New Funk' ...was it working...and how much of that got done?)
-
someone said that dre didnt write the chronic.....if that is true then who wrote it? to the best of her knowledge.
-
Please ask those 2 questions:
Has she got/recorded songs with Nate Dogg ?
Any anecdote to tell about Nate Dogg ?
And if you are confortable with her, ask who did have sex with her at Ruthless and Death Row. (ask her at the end of the interview in case she get mad).
-
Did she complete any solo album(s) while on the Label?
How different was it working with the different artists like 2pac, Tha Dogg Pound, Snoop, etc.?
Has she talked with WideAwake about releasing her material?
-
maybe ask if she has some interesting stories to tell about leftovers from projects such as The Chronic, Doggystyle
-
Ask her about Big Russ. Ive spoke with him on the phone a few times.

funny

Ask her what it was like to record "The Thug in Me" with Tupac
Ask her if she ever had sex with Tupac (or other DR artists)
Ask her what her favorite tracks with Tupac were.
-
You guys are pathetic. Asking if she had sex (Woooooooo!) with certain people? Grow up.
-
inquiring minds would like to know.....
-
What made her stay with Death Row for so long? If it was arranged, would she like to reunite with the former Death Row inmates (for a tour or album)?? What's going on with her future projects?
-
You morons. Don't ask her if she had sex with ppl on the label, she's not gonna answer that. You could instead ask her if she dated any labelmates while she was at Ruthless or Death Row. That gets the same answer you guys seek, without coming off like a prick.
Questions:
When did she officially part ways from Death Row, and what was the breaking point that made her leave?
She called Suge Knight the devil at the West Coast hip-hop summit, does she still feel that way?
Does she work with WideAwake at all? Any plans for her album "Black Diamond" to see the light of day through WA?
Does she remember John Payne from her time at Death Row?
When was Black Diamond originally supposed to be released? Who featured/produced on Black Diamond?
Is she currently working on music with anybody?
-
ask her if she gave Suge Knight head (like all the other females on Tha Row did -- Gail Gotti, Michel'le etc etc)
-
how do you know that? or just making stuff up?
