Very sad topic ..... a person should realize how much writing jay z has done for many different artists on many different albums ..... If you would of remembered when STILL DRE came out it was said that Jay - Z wrote the lyrics along with a few other songs...... Im sure he has doen writing for more than a few of the other rappers on that list....
-
This is pretty gay...I guess Eminem was biting everyone with "I Just Don't Give A Fuck" then AZ did it too with "I Don't Give A Fuck Now"
Worse example here:
21. Jay-Z
"It was all a dream"
Biggie
"It was all a dream"
Gimme a fucking break.
Also, Snoop bit Slick Rick, Biz Markie, NWA, KRS-One & Rakim with "Lodi Dodi", "Vapors", "Gangsta, Gangsta", "Doggz Gonna Getcha" & "Paper'd Up"
-
But dude, Copyin other classic rappers' lines and using them(especially changin em up a lil to fit da song) iz a popular practice...but DAMN I never realized how often Gay Z did that....DAYUM ahahahaha "how much of Biggies rhymes goan come out ur fat lips" LMAO Gay-Z iz a str8 biggie wanna-be man didn't U know that, that foo probably cut off biggies dick when he died and sucks it daily to this day ;D I never listen to that fagg though, thatss why I couldnt really confirm most of da rhymes U copied...but all the biggie ones u had I knew from songs, same wit 2pac.
Moral of the story; FUCK GAY-Z! 8)

Touching on this, the rhymes that he used that others used, do you see them coming at Jay Z with a case—as far as the court goes? I know for a fact that Big and 'Pac can't take him to court, but what about the others mentioned? Realistically think, cous.

damn jigga diccrydez biggie. im out!!!
-
danm i noticed jigga was bitin' alot og biggies chit n some other others but i didn't realize how much... he's on big's dick more then i thought... i caught him how many times, i thought he did that chit on purpose thou but if u changin' the lines up a lil' it's different... some rappers will quote a line some1 made on purpose, it ain't really bitin' cuz they want u to recognize where it's from but when u takin' the chit n changin' it up a lil' then it's bitin' to me...

how long did that take u to come up with?
He copy and pasted this.

almost every topic i read here now is inspired by or taken from sohh.

He copy and pasted this.
the outrageous biting of the Kurupt man....
-
This is extremely sad...LoL...

You could make a list like this about most rappers.
-
yeah.. you could do this for most rappers, but most rappers dont make up 1/2 of their career off other rappers lyrics. jay-z is great no doubt, but when you put it in a list like this, it makes it look real suspect

You could make a list like this about most rappers.
Yup.
He's copying Biggie & Pac a lot, but after all he was a fan of both of them, and which rapper is NOT inspired by Biggie and Pac?
..and these \/ are ridiculous.. shows that the dude was too desperate in his search..

I don't really mind him doing it, but yeah, he does do it more than anybody else. They missed some too, I know I heard him bite Snoop more than that, I'm pretty sure I've heard him bite more snoop & Kurupt stuff from the Chronic.

Just goes to show if Biggie weren't dead
Jay-Z would never be as big as he is now!
-
Biggie and jayz use to rap with each other.... and im sure they helped each other finnish verses.... no one here has yet reinforced the fact that jay z did some of the writing for dre's 2001... i am going to try to get a copy of a list of albums that he has wrote on.....
-
Just goes to show if Biggie weren't dead
Jay-Z would never be as big as he is now!
::)
-
cmon c2 knuckles, u seem like a proper hip hop head, dont tell me u actually believe Jigga would be just as big is Biggie was still around?
-
He wouldn't be AS big as he is now, but he said "Just goes to show if Biggie weren't dead...", these bullshit quotes don't show that. I'm not even a big Jay-Z fan but when I see:
Jay-Z:
"Do me a favor dude, get 2 ice cubes I pass them
Take that ice up, for the nicest MC"
Biggie: on "Unbelievable"
"Get ready to die, tell God I said hi
And throw down some ice, for the nicest MC"
gimme a break, that ain't biting, that's going too far. He would of been popular anyways, he had 4 singles before Vol 2 (that's when he really blew) was released and 2 more after, that album was going to sell big, Biggie alive or not. But he probably wouldn't considered "the king of New York" by some, people just needed to call someone that and he filled the void.
-
Listen c2 knuckles i beleive in what i said and i
stand by it, you may have a different opinion
and your entitled to it. But you're being selective
when you compare a Jay-Z lyric to Bigs.
All i'm sayin just take another look at the list
Peace

Kinda funny how this thread was placed in the Westcoast part of the forum on purpose..
Jay-Z doesn't stand a chance in this part of the forum.. or should I extend that to "Eastcoast rappers alive and not signed to a Westcoast label"..... ::)
