Bought it but aint listened to it yet !

I bought the FYE version with the "I'm The King" bonus track and alternate album cover. I think it's a great effort, there are only about 3-4 songs I'm not too crazy about.
The production was on point, lyrically Game did his thing and in my opinion, his delivery is a notch or two above his previous albums. The Dre skits were cool, but if it were up to me, I would have left them off. For the most part, I thought the music was strong enough without them so all the Dre narration was extra.
My favorite right now is "Born In The Trap", classic Premier production on that one. "The City" was incredible too, I read reviews that said Kendrick nailed it... they weren't kidding.

RED deffo not the album that changes hip hop like he said. Good but not All eyez on me.
-
bought it this afternoon....im at all i know (sick track btw) overall shit is cool..solid album...nothing mind blowing and definitely not album of the year...but worth the 13$
-
dope album...i feel like its the guest feature age in hip-hop right now which sux...wish he had more solos...but why the fuck isnt pot of gold gettn heavy air play ? great song. kinda of reminds me of Blueprint 3 for some reason

agree with u completely with ur post. not that Pot Of Gold is my fav song, but its a good radio friendly song. ur absolutely right about the age of features in hip hop, sucks, but it is what it is. this album is nowhere near "classic or even great" but its a very solid.

I'm not going to have a chance cuz I'm working all day (chamilitary, its called a job) but I had my baby momma pick it up for me. Ill check it out tomorrow

^Most bitter nigga on the forum.

This album is definitely better then LAX

Yeah, sure lol.
RED has three good songs; well four if you count Martians Vs. Goblins because I fuck with that joint.

how about cham stop using the word nigga so freely like that (thanks) and i thought this album was definitely top notch California music and definitely gets top 25 for physical albums released in stores by a mainstream rap artist this year so far (where it ranks will depend in mid January 2012).
i hate when people try 2 rush GOOD material when they're listening. if u like Game then you'll like this album, there's no sense in acting like you're apart of some elite club that only listens to exclusive music by all of the top rated artists mainstream and underground. some of yall were a little too young and a little too old to be talking about how rap music has declined for what 12 years now (where's the bottom, what's the bottom? since we're grouping every single artist together like that).
anyways, the album is far from a disappointment, it's actually WAY better than i thought it would be. too bad the entire G Unit won't do a reunion, it's about time (maybe for 50's album i hope).

hey is the hook on Im The King different then the original?

Got it

about to pick up my copy in a day or 2. Listened to it last week definitely worth the buy, especially with all of the mixtapes he gave the fans this year, dude deserves some sales. Like most people with good ears are saying, album is clearly better than LAX. Lax actually had more potential singles, had a few songs that i skip. Lyrically he is way better on this album. I thought one of his few lyrically strong songs off LAX was let us live. He's got multiple tracks like that on this album. This has alot of dope album material. "Hello" has to be the next single if he wants to push the album with sales. Sounds like that would be a hit on the radio.

I mean, I think this is his worst album & fairly weak outside of a few dope/bumpable songs, but I'm sure it makes my Top 25 physical albums released by a mainstream rapper.
How many mainstream releases have their even been?

Well this is radiotube's list so it has to compete with the new Gucci, Waka and Lil Boosie.

That's a modern day Death Row.

thanks for the story, you keep waiting on the crooked album
-
Terrible album - So disappointing.
Hate all of the beats and his rhymes are all the same.
-
I'll get it on friday

Dude honestly your taste in music sucks. Go get your hearing checked. You probably are an American Idol reject.
The album has 3-4 good songs. BEST ALBUM OF 2011 my ass. Your buying into the hype and have to be deaf.
His first three albums were exciting. This album is just ....whatever.... Red Nation could have been good without Lil Wayne whining on it. That was a joke.
The Game is trying to reach out to an East Coast sound, riding Lil Wayne's dick, and not sticking to what made him.

yo WTF is cdr records??
No one has noticed that not only is there NO Aftermath logo anywhere, there's not even a Interscope label anywhere!!
Executive Produced by Pharrell Williams
Co Executive produced by Game & mars....what happened to Dr. Dre?
The album for me has been a let down, sounds like a good mixtape. I enjoy 4-5 tracks (really 2-3 but i know few others will grow on me). Way too many f**king features, i bought a GAME album I dont want to hear other rappers, especially when 3 tracks in a row start with a different rapper...I mean he has (correct me if im wrong) one verse in heavy artillery...and how do u f**k up a drake song?? that beat is so so bad and wrong for that track. I've only given it 1 1/2 spins (and havent listned to it high yet) but i remember how i felt the first spin I gave D.A. and LAX (which i wasnt a big fan of either, but at least for first spin it had some real hard tracks), I mean what's the theme and direction of the R.E.D. album??
-
Its another Interscope sub-label.

my taste in music sucks? LOL, would love to hear what you think is hot
and where did I say this was the best album of 2011
one more thing, your euro crac ass telling anyone about what's hot in hip hop is laughable
-
I'm just being real. The album is a mess. I bought it due to the hype, and it was a lie. The songs don't blend, way to much Mars, Lil Wayne.
When rappers get big they try to do what they want and lose the quality control.
Snoop Dogg is also guilty of this. I will say Snoop was right about Dr. Dre "He needs Snoop Dogg, The D.O.C, and Kurupt or Detox won't be shit". It will be just like this shitty Game album.
The Game is now talking about making another album with Mars?? WTF? Use what works...Dr. Dre, Scott Storch, Kanye, Just Blaze. All those tracks were on his mixtapes or leaked which smoked everything on his album (Jump off, Better Days, etc).
-
^to be fair the one song on the album Dr. Dre was involved in was one of the worst.
