Title: Pusha T Inks Solo Deal With Def Jam
Post by: The_Ripper on September 01, 2011, 03:04:54 AM
So even though Pusha T has been running with Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music imprint for a minute now, the Clipse member apparently hadn't signed a proper deal just yet. According to Karen Civil, he has officially inked a solo record deal with G.O.O.D. Music distributor Def Jam. What that means, unfortunately, is that we now don't have a firm release date for his upcoming Fear of God 2: Let Us Pray EP or his full-length debut. The EP is apparently coming soon, though, and is tentatively set to drop Sept. 27.

Pusha released the following statement on his deal:

“Solidifying my first solo venture, G.O.O.D Music/DefJam is my home. That machine with my creativity is gonna make for satisfied hiphop fans,” said Pusha.

Horrible news..

Now we will get a mainstream Pusha-album with feat. from Ne-Yo, Jeremih, Fabolous, Rick Ross, The Dream, Young Jeezy, Swizz Beats, and whatnot.  :-X

Def Jam will distribute the album, like Decon did with his ep.

He already worked with these prior to the signing.

Yeah, I see y'all point, but my point being; the more involved Def Jam gets, the more watered down and mainstream the album ends up sounding, with product/artist placement all over.
