I know it's not Snoop's best album, but what do you think what are the best songs on it? These are my favorite 2:
1. Doggz Gonna Get Ya
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxj0Mn3KcWA
Produced by KLC, feat Mac. Some really nice gangsta storytelling.
2. Hoes, Money & Clout
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=deBfQaepEso
Real Westcoast beat! Dope lyrics & flow. Produced by Soopafly
I have never seen anyone mention these songs. They are really dope imo

"Slow Down", "Gin & Juice II" and "Still A G Thang".
-
Used to hate this album, found it pretty much unlistenable...then after hearing a lot more No Limit stuff I loved it..
Now I'm pretty much this is a solid album 4/5. Hard to pick out best tracks..pretty much even from start to finish.
-
It's strange that when it came out, everybody I know (myself included) hated it. It was too far away from the Death Row/G Funk sound. But when you hear it now, and compare it to Snoop's last 3-4 albums, you can almost call this album a classic.

"Still a G Thang", end thread

There are a lot of dope tracks on that album. But "Still A G Thing" was the best track. I actually prefer this album over Paid Tha Cost, RnG, and Malice n Wonderland, even tho most people rank it as Snoops worst.
-
Album had some bangers. I was one of the people against it initially, but "Still a G Thang" is definitely a classic. "Welcome to My World" and "Slow Down" were stand outs to me also. I was even digging "Woof" when it came out.
In hindsight, as sad as it is to say, some of Snoop's best work in his entire career came on No Limit.

20 Dollars To My Name with Soulja Slim
https://www.youtube.com/v/ktjDWucN1p4 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktjDWucN1p4)
now with these last 20 dollars i might get me some doja, because the weed i got from magnolia still had a n***a sober
Haha Soulja smoking some cess. It's like a lottery in a bag sometimes you win sometimes you don't.

classic album as it is. 98' was a good year for Snoop, he had tha passion still and it shows. only early dubcc and hardcore deathrow heads from back in tha day used to say that (excluding me). Snoop was still pretty raw back then.

true,
to me it is his best album
and 20 dollars is the best song on there...
-
even though, to me it is his best album,
I wouldnt download it and put it on my mp3 player..........cause i just am not too big a fan of the dude......
-
It wasn't as bad an album as it reputation suggested but the fact was it was Snoop without any of his familiar guest stars so the public shit on it. There's some dope songs but at the time, it wasn't the Snoop people wanted.
I think the two albums that followed it were much better but it wasn't a terrible album. My least favorite Snoop was always "Paid The Cost".

wtf...times have really changed if peeps are seriously callin this snoop's best album.

Definitely not best. Doggystyle is the clear winner by a mile. Snoop has continued to drop dope music through out his career but his albums tend to overflow with a lot of tracks that might not need to make the cut. Even, Last Meal, which I consider his second best, could have taken out three or so tracks and added one or two extra bangers.
-
nobody ever mentions the last (or second to last) track on the album...
chorus goes something like "Westside niggaz get bout it, eastside niggaz get bout it..."
The beat is hard and snoops flow is incredible. 2nd fav song after still a g thang.
And I liked this album when it first came out...I was somewhat of a no limit fan back then. Yeah it wasn't mindblowing but I definitely bumped the hell out of it back then.

dogg pound gangsta is a really good tribute song! 8)

i bought it the day it dropped and i was disgustingly disappointed..but every year more and more tracks became appreciated...and now finally i love this album...theres like 2 tracks i skip out of the whole thing..
-
this is one of those "status quo"-albums
it sucked when it came out,, but ppl r now tellin themselves that they "like it", 13 years later due to the lack of bumpable music in this day n age
-
I really liked it but also not at first. i duidnt liek doggfatha at first either but grew to love it.

Years ago I would really agree on this. But face it, compared to the music that's made today, I would prefer to bump this album all day long ;)
