Woa Thats Impressive

14000 copies sold was well worth destroying his mags credability, and losing thousands of dollars in the long run for fans who realize it's a joke. What a moron.

Benzino - A Fucking Joke.

What's even worse, is that 9000 of those people probably bought it because they'd get 3 months free The Source, and thought it was cheap at $10.
* Jome waiting for S.G.V's reply, preferably with a comment on the sales.. ;D

Daily Hip-Hop News:
Benzino Fails, Eminem Sales
written by Rich Rock

Well, after months of multi-page ads in The Source, interviews in the media and soapbox lambasting of Eminem, Benzino proves that talk is cheap.
Last week's release of Benzino's second solo album garnered the self-proclaimed rap saviour a measly 14,463 units in first-week sales, leaving Redemption completely off the charts. Meanwhile, his nemesis, Eminem, continues to blaze the charts at #5 on Billboard with over 86,000 units sold last week for his 8 Mile album and over 49,000 units sold for the 2002 release, The Eminem Show.
Benzino, currently on Elektra Records with Missy Elliot, has had over five record label deals as a solo artist or with his group, Made Men/Almight RSO, including a brief stint on Def Jam Records and most recently, Motown Records in 2001. Redemption, however, has broken a personal record for Ray as all his previous releases have never Soundscanned over 10,000 in the first week. At this rate, Rendemption may go gold by April 2004. The coveted platinum plaque could be awarded as early as late 2005.

Why are ya'll acting like the album didn't sell? This is the best any Benzino album has ever sold. So I think all the promotion has done it's job as much as I hate to say it.
-
damn...id say thats good had he released it on an indi...but considering all the money put into for features and promotion and shit like that...the number is plain horrible...but hey u never know...its only the first week...some albums take months to catch on...but as of right now...thats horrible...the lead single is catchy i woulda thought it wouldve caught some ears...guess not tho...
-
for a lousy 14,000 units it only took killing what credibility his magazine had left, great job bezino
-
Man. With the publicity the WORLDS HOTTEST ARTIST gave him, I could sell 14,000 autographs for 10 dollars a piece.
-
lol .. 14000 units ;D

LMFAO!!!
