Honorable mentions:

Son of the beach, Jackass (not the exact same genre)
Cheers (Funny, but overrated)

And oh yeah: We tend to import hella U.S. TV-series over here in Norway.. ;D

Agreed. I'd put SNL, Married with Children, and Southpark on that list too for mine.

- The Cosby Show
- The Colgate Comedy Hour
- I Love Lucy
- The Carol Burnette Show
- The Tonight Show With Johnny Carson

And a bunch more, but those are the top ones that stick in my head right now.
