sometimes taking their time means that they have nothing new to say

I actually thought they did take their time with 100 Wayz. You have to remember 100 Wayz is 3 albums worth of material. That Was Then This Is Now, Keep On Ridin and 100 Wayz.
-
"100 Wayz" was a good album, "That Was Then, This Is Now" sounded like a compilation. "Keep On Ridin" was just some tracks thrown together and released on the internet, right?

True. I would say at least half of TWTTIN was meant for 100 Wayz and a good portion of Keep On Ridin as well. The OG version. I remember Kurupt saying in a interview that the delay for 100 Wayz originally was that Snoop wanted to be involved in the project much like the way he was on Cali Iz Active so they went back and redid a bunch of tracks
-
i liked "that was then, this is now" a lot more than "100 wayz"
100 wayz felt like dogg chit pt. 2

yea,
"that was then this is now" was originally a compilation project wit new music from former Death Row-artists, but it became a Dogg Pound-compilation

I liked the production as a whole on 100 Wayz but That Was Then had better overall songs.

I still think Dillinger and Gotti II was their best work.
A real summer vibe to it.
I hope this new album is funky!
