Daz Reward Article Is Not a Fake - 23 January, 2003 By : Overseer
More on the article DPG Recordz posted up.
As the article came from a commercial site and us fan's are unable to access the site it was quoted as being from people have been disputing the authenticity of it. So I contacted the author myself and he had this to say:
Yes, the article is correct and is based on a review of the case file in Los
Angeles Superior Court. As the story points out, there is a chance the
award could be vacated following a hearing next week. If you want more
confirmation, you might check with some of those mentioned in the article.
Los Angeles Superior Court also has a Web site where you can check on cases,
although I don't know whether the $25.5 million award would be mentioned.
In other words... Shits legit, but Daz still has a way to go yet before he gets scrilla, and that might not be the full amount.

My thoughts.
Why today where tha row planed to release the tracklist for Tha Disfunktional Family Soundtrack.
and not one other big paper like the la times has the story.

Once again, I prove I know what i'm talking about.

even if this is true, good luck on daz collecting it. You think daz is gonna go up to suge knight and ask him for it, hell no. Only about 5% of settlements are collected each year. And 25 million, ain't no way daz is gonna collect that much from suge. Also if daz did actually collect 25 mill, his lawyer would take 50% which would leave him with 12.5, a million goin to court fees and shit = 11.5 mill, take say 30% to taxes = 8.05 million, which is still a helluva lot of money, but when it says daz wins 25 mill, the reality of it is after its all said and done he is actually gettin 7-10 million. That is great for daz if he can collect it all. Imagine what he could do with that. Oh man, he could afford to put out albums by lil c-style, tha gang, soopafly and daz, goldie loc, PFN, Row Killa, Crooked I. I sure hope that is part of his plan to spend the money.
-
^^ Yeah, I don't think he'll ever see the money either. Suge owes major people dollars, but I think he payed up to Kurupt's lawyers, didn't he?

Wouldn't he sign it "Marion Knight"? Cuz If It's a legal document, I'm assuming one would sign his real name.
-
Lol damn.. if Daz is faking, he really gots no life and hes dumb for signing "Suge Knight" lol ...
-
It maybe like a document that's part of the evidence in the trial.
Like for instance, maybe Suge signed something telling Daz what his profits would be as exec. producer on the row (1 million), and signed it Suge Knight.
Then Daz sues Suge for the money, blah blah blah, and that's the document that got suge screwed.
I dunno; but I don't see a problem with it saying Suge on it, he may just sign everything that way. Snoop Signs everything "Snoop Dogg" so I guess it's legal.
-
It's actaully legal to sign an "X" too, not many people know that. But most people perfer you don't do that, as it would be very easy to forge. Basically as long as all your signatures look the same it's all good.
-
^^ yup

That's right. You can sign it as "Mr. Blood" too! The only important thing is that you dont sign it by using the name of another man. That's illegal. But you can sign it with an X too. Plus i assume he wasnt alone when he signed it, he signed it at the presence of at least two lawyers, one notary and a pair of witnesses.
