????? he got number 1 album in US....
Yeah, but he doesn't have a hit single to perform. He has a pretty solid fanbase to where he can get #1 or #2 album but the albums he outsells the first week, generally having more staying power on the charts. Like "Advocate" outsold Akon's album back in 2006 but then Akon's shit kept on selling while Game kept going further and further down the charts. His new album's been out for just six weeks, it's at #61. Jay and Kanye been out for eight and they just fell out of the top ten. Em and Royce been out for 16 and they are stilll in Top 40. Game hasn't really had any big crossover hits since "Hate It Or Love It" so that's the likely reason we ain't seeing him at many award shows.

Award shows is all about sponsors and adds. You got to have a chart topping song or a song that's killing out there.
Let's say you have a joint that has 5000 spins on the radio, you know AT LEAST 50% of the people who like the song and enjoy the artist will tune in and watch the artist perform it, which means more money for the channel because more viewers = more adds/sponsors = more money.
That's why an artists like Lil Wayne can get nominated 18 times like he was at the Hip-Hop awards or win awards he really doesn't deserve, it's because he's popular and brings in alot of viewers which generates more money.

Well we know some of what's being said in here isn't true, as Young Jeezy opened the show and hasn't had a song on the radio in over 3 years.
Game did perform at the Hip Hop Awards right when Doctor's Advocate dropped (One Blood and Let's Ride). Whether it's the truth or not, I think a lot of this has to do with his personal choice.
Most of these award shows are in LA, he had a Number 1 charting album and he's signed to the biggest record label in the country - I'm sure he could attend any show he wanted to.
