If this website closed, artist like Kboy, Glasses, Slim the Mobster etc wouldnt get talked about anywhere
Gotta give props for keeping west coast rap alive

when we had the idea for this board, we never thought it would get this far..... real thanks should go to the eminem groupies who flooded the dre2001 boards, causing us to come up with an idea for a board of our own 8)

Yeah, man. This website is my baby. I've watch it blossomed into a preverbal teenage boy & it's the proudest thing in my life. What do I make off of this site that I've dedicated ten years of the prime of my life to, after just exposing myself to be part of a dre2001 forum? Absolutely nothing but the grand satisfaction of being a complete internet nerd.
Thissssssssssssss niggaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. ::)
Now realistically, not much at all. The "New West" artists don't sell shit & aren't a fathom of a thought in the mainstream game. The only guys with any actual buzz is Kreayshawn, Lil' B & Tyler, The Creator who got shine on websites that cover all corners of the Hip Hop world that ironically enough are shunned on here lmao.

^u do realize that no one knows what the fuck ur sayin, right kid?

there's countless other hip-hop sites out there that cover ALL of those artists/post up their music for download...

alot of leaked music wouldnt have got to the masses thats for sure.
tanner probably would have self destructed years ago.

The west would be in the same position it is in now with or without this website. Also most the rappers on the west that got a nice buzz don't really get promoted here anyway.
-
Websites like 2dopeboyz and hiphopdx post songs of WC artists , mostly of those who aren't stucked in the 90es ... there were way more articles about Evidence new album on these 2 websites than here ... which is another proof this forum and website don't care if it ain't gangsta rap/g funk

Kreayshawn is a fluke. Chick's buzz disappeared before the VMA encounter w/Rick Ross

"thanks to radiotube! for keeping us in check and informed"

This site has been great for us, but an impact on west coast hip hop? I don't think dubcnn has had much of an impact. Just look at Kendrick Lamar. He was promoted by this site for a long time but didn't get attention til Dr. Dre mentioned his name. And even the regs here ignore 90% of the music dubcnn promotes. Even the ones they do pay attention to have already been promoted by major labels (Crooked I and Death Row, Bishop/Slim and Aftermath, G. Malone and Black Wall Street/Cash Money)

Definitely would have missed out on a lot of dope West Coast artists / songs without this site. Dub has always been a good place to showcase the West Coast talent that doesn't normally get the love they deserve.

yeah. dubcnn promoted bishop before he signed to aftermath, i doubt he got (as) much attention from visitors of dubcnn& dubcc as when he signed to aftermath.

from what i've seen, dubcnn covers more westcoast artists
