Title: Week 7 NFL Discussion Thread
Post by: Lunatic on October 23, 2011, 09:00:17 AM
Less than an hour away!

- Jets lose and Sanchez struggles mightily
- Det bounces back by beating ATL
- Titans beat Texans and take a 2 game lead in the division
- Newton balls vs. Skins and Panthers win
- Miami gets there first win over Den as Tebow will struggle and the hype will calm down
- Palmer debuts nicely with Oak as they beat the Chiefs
- Ponder has a rough outing in his debut start vs. the Pack and GB rolls.. Dumb decision to start Ponder today.

Let's go!

Falcons are beating Detriot. Jahvid Best is out with a concussion. Even though he's not a huge factor in their offense. He's still been a playermaker for them at times this season.

Jets could go either way. I'll never know.

I don't think the Falcons are that good. Worse than year actually. If ATL was at home, I'd give them the slight edge. In DET, I say Det wins by 3-4 points.

You should wach that Seinfeld episoode where George does the opposite of everything his gut tells him. You may have won some big money.

Revis is the greatest player of all-time.

Tim Tebow impressed me. Too bad it was against the worst team in the NFL lol.

Our season went down with Britt's knee.

We had no expectations and our 3-3, the Jets are mightily disappointing compared to us who are in rebuild mode.

^I mean, that would be a decent excuse for today if the Texans didn't lose Andre Johnson & Mario Williams lol.

Exactly. Texans didn't have their two franchise players. And while britt is good he is nowhere near andre Johnson. Titans just aren't a good team, they are rebuilding. And if anything any wins they get hurt them as their draft pick will be mid level.

Same with the bills. They had a fun start but they aren't legitimate.

As for the jets, nick mangolds injury hurt them but he's back to normal. They will make the playoffs with ease. Without mangold the team can't win. I would call them disappointing at all. They had three straight road games against tough opponents.

Aaron maybin  :o

Man, i never paid attention to him in buffalo but he's been beasting for the jets. He's determined to shake that bust label and he's still very young.I'm not sure if this is just the bills being inept or him playing different. I've never seen a faster LB

No Andre Johnson = No Kenny Britt. Except Britt means more to us than Johnson does to the Texans (they have a better overall group of WR/TE). Williams is one player and they have Cushing in the LB group still.

80% OL fault, they can't run block if there life depended on it. 20% CJ fault, missing camp/preseason hurt his conditioning teamed with the fact he joined the team so late (when his lockout ended = we should have signed him earlier) and met a new OC/playbook.

CJ is averaging 2.9 yards per carry, which is the worst in the NFL. 80% on the line? The same line that was there just a season ago? How does the same line just forget how to block? CJ got paid & stopped trying.

I also cannot agree that Kenny Britt's injury is the same as a Top 3 receiver in the NFL going down.

The line was pretty bad last year as well. It hasn't been the same since Mawae left. I don't believe CJ doesn't care anymore. I actually talked to the guy a lot during the summer, and he was working out 4 hours a day during the lockout. Take that how you want it in terms of caring vs. not caring. Seemed to me like he was doing everything he can to stay in shape and be ready.

Look at the start Britt was off to. He was a legitimate top 3 WR statistically in the NFL when he went down. He's underrated and would be widely considered right now to be on AJ's level if he didn't go down. And like I said, our group of ball catchers minus Britt is MUCH worse than the Texans' minus AJ. That's my main point.
