HE'S a big, black rapper with oodles of street cred – but while Xzibit is prince of the airwaves, he had problems with waves of another kind on Monday at Bondi Beach.
Confidential's operative, hiding in a sandcastle, saw the big fella – who appears in fellow home boy Eminem's latest film 8 Mile – in the surf trying to catch a few waves.
Although he was between the flags, Xzibit found himself caught in a rip and had to be rescued by a lifesaver who helped him on to a board and took him back to shore.
The rapper, who was one of many who needed help in the surf that day, has since been singing the praise of Bondi's attentive lifeguards.
Yesterday Xzibit opted for a safer way to tread water, by going on a Harbour cruise.

true but highly exagerated. some places reported he almost drowed etc a lifeguard helped him out when he was caught in a rip. wasn't a big deal but the media being the media saw a story ;D
