Title: Jewell - "Jewell" discusion thread
Post by: Darkwing Duck (The Reincarnation) on November 23, 2011, 03:30:28 PM

kinda boring imo,, (or maybe im just not in the right mood for shit like this right now).. album is very instrumental musicaly, n i like that (espcially when it comes to the 90's), but Jewell is.. just boring as an artist
sounds like some midnigt type of stuff, without any "song-construction" in vocals and theme (hooks/bridges, etc),, lacks  interest and an edge. no replay-value, just some "songs" that you'll listen to once

drop ur thoughts

u exactly described the album as I envisioned it... especially the song construction part. that's the reason I never really liked Jewell in the first place. i'ma check it out for the instrumentals though.

best song is  --- "I Came When You Were Alone", rest of it is kinda like a sleeping pill.
and "Betcha She Don't Love You" and "back in bed" were alright

smh at the "married"-song  ("lets get married, lets get married, lets geeeeet maaaaried!!!") :puke:

Still waiting for this to leak cause I'm not willing to spend money on this album before I even heard it; I can't judge from the samples if I like it enough to buy it.

Solid album - nothing groundbreaking tho and worst than I thought actually. I'll give it 3/5 rating - here's the best track from it in my opinion:

"Blood, Sweat & Tears" was delayed for 3 months due to some legal problems regarding her book so it should be released early 2012 but I agree, those snippets are average.

Is it just me or is this the worst WIDEawake album so far, mixing and mastering wise?

What's it going to take to get people to realize that these damn glorified bootleggers have no interest or desire in mixing or mastering these?

WideAwake is just FTP and some Canadian banksters...They have no interest in music, only profit.

Well it's obvious they have no interest in profit, because nobody are buying these new releases. The only money they are making is off the back catalog. I gaurantee you that's the only reason they are still in business.
