blast from teh past, i found this old article on westcoastrydaz, while skimmin around
any "truth" to this? lol
Apparently JT the Bigga Figga and Dat Nigga Daz, who have been feuding for a while over money issues got together and fought in Sacramento recently. The Beef is said to be squashed. After the fight JT said him and Daz hugged and smoked some trees. Here is what JT posted up at Siccness Forums:
"DAZ AND JT FINALLY HAVE A 1 ON 1 TO SQUASH BEEF SOLDIER STYLE!!!!
NOW THATS HOW THIS SHIT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE, HIS PEOPLE WHO GOT US TOGETHER DIDNT WANT ANY CAMCORDERS THO.
BUT IT DONT MATTER I HANDLED MY BUSINESS FILLMOE STYLE BURNER GLOVES SHIRT OFF AND HAT TO THE BACK.
3 ROUNDS 3 MINUTES A PIECE BACK OF A FIELD IN SACRAMENTO.
DETAILS-
FIGGA DAMAGE REPORT- A COUPLE OF BODY BLOWS 1 HEAD SHOT NO BRUISES 1 SWOLLEN LEFT HAND BUT AS FAR AS IM CONCERNED A OK
DAZ DAMAGE REPORT- 1 SWOLLEN LIP A FEW BODIES AND A FEW HEAD SHOTS
BOTH FIGHTERS WALKED AWAY
CONCLUSION -
I GOT WHAT I WANTED TO CHUCK THEM THANGS BLOCK STYLE OVER THE DISRESPECT I FELT WAS WRONG
HE HAD TO FIGHT ME CAUSE IT WAS PUT OUT THERE TO STRONG NOT TO
HE SAID HE HAD 1 MORE DIS RECORD FOR ME AND THAT WOULD BE IT
WE SQUASHED OUR BEEF ITS OFFICIALLY OVER SO YALL HEARD IT FIRST OUT THE HORSES MOUTH!!!!!!!
SO FUCK THE RUMORS"
Daz has not yet spoken on the situation, but we'll try to update you ASAP.

What's for sure is that JT is the one who taught Daz EVERYTHING on the independant game after he left Death Row. & He the one who converted Daz to the independant game too. & Quite successfully I might add. Big up to JT!
-
LOL i remember when this went down, there were a couple conflicting reports on the location if i remember correctly but I remember JT posting that on the BART forums
-
Least we can say & agree on here is that they handled it the proper way: with their fists, instead of guns like it happens too often & most recently over a stupid twitter beef! It ain't worth losing a life over.

yup i remember reading the report madsen posted too when it came out. funny as shit. damn it's been almost 9 years since, time does fly by. JT says no cam corders were allowed cause initially he wanted to have it filmed and put it on dvd :D this guy would sell anything lmfao. JT won the beef on wax though (not that i was a memorable beef or anything but at least he made a vicious song out of it).
jt (and d-shot and them) taught Daz the independent game, they both hustlers but Daz has been more serious about the music game. JT made thousands of cd's with the same recycled songs with different titles, shit was misleading as fuck and JT has often been criticized for that, when Daz mostly put out albums with only new material (at least for his solo albums, the who ride wit us albums are compilations of already released tracks).
JT's music was tight in the mid 90's and some of his releases (including the first Game project) were decent in the very early 00's but he's been pretty much trash every since IMO. he mostly put out quickly put together projects and he's out for a quick buck so there's no real artistic research behind (even though he would occasionally drop a couple of semi-tight songs). dude was thriving at one point though, he sold 80k of Game's Untold Story independently, that's at least $500k in profits right there.

Don't you forget the Game's "Live From Compton" double-cd! I think it's a collector's item now? I been keeping my copy in my collection & I'm glad I bought it when it came out! Definitely was a good move!
As for JT, he also been working with Snoop for a while, they did the "Mandatory Businss" dvdv & magazines. Dunno if they still coming out though?
-
JT was named VP of Doggystyle Records in 07 about the time when Mr. Vice president (decent album) dropped and The Big Squeeze compilation too. but things have changed since. JT is back on his independent grind, but moved Down South like Daz did years ago. He's fucking heavily with Zaytoven who's from Frisco originally. He still puts out his mandatory business magazine, he directs low budget videos and prepares a new album i think.

Damn, didn't know he'd ever leave Filmoe! What's so great about moving South anyways?
(PS IS that PSG scoring?)

No doubt, but I don't mean to sell none of my cd's (unless I'd lose my home or something like that!), or any other items. My Slim's "South Central's Finest" either. I'd still be curious to know what it could be worth though, sometimes they go crazy on eBay!

another misleading release by JT. one of these collabo albums where the two artists are not featured together on any single tracks (kinda like the old Jacka/Lil Keke album). a lot of tracks are also on Compton 2 Fillmoe and Hustle Relentless. JT got the tracks from Nas after he got back his chain which had been snatched in the SF.
(PS IS that PSG scoring?)
nah it's Montpellier, but it was called offside (and it wasn't)

last i heard of JT, he was offering independent producers 2 spit on their beat up on the siccness forums. first 10 producers who submitted their beat got a JT verse on it. i still got the zip file of the 10 tracks he laced....seems like a cool cat, based on what i seen.

What are those early Game releases worth these days? I've got em all collecting dust in a box...just curious

headshots?lol wtf.

LOL! Yeah, I used to be on Siccness.net all the time during the '00-'05 period. That JT vs. Daz beef was good for a couple of laughs! Most of the recycling that JT did was on endless compilations--he put out dozens of compilation CDs w/ titles like From The Bay 2 Detroit, Gotta Get It (released as JT and Juvenile, but a comp), Corporate Thuggin' (released as JT and Daz, but a comp), Street Warz (released as JT and Young Noble, but a comp), Neighborhood Supastars, Bay Area Bosses (two volumes. LOL), etc. I always used to leave posts on the Siccness advising fans that if they wanted to avoid the recycling to stay the fuck away from the compilations (like the ones listed above and dozens more) and stick w/ the solo CDs.
Some of the actual solo CDs that JT released were, like you said, decent and even dope: Something Crucial (2000), Hustle Relentless (2002) and Project Poetry (2003) were all solid, if rawly produced, JT solos, as were the two "real" collabs that JT and Daz did: Long Beach 2 Fillmoe (2000) and Game For Sale (2001). Also, JT and The Gamblaz (Authentic and Telly Mac) made a dope CD in 2001 called Know About It (which also featured D-Moe and San Quinn) and Authentic and Telly Mac's 2002 solos (The Gamblaz Present...Authentic and Business is Business, respectively) were decent (if raw-sounding) buys as well. So JT was still capable of putting out solid-to-dope music when he wanted to, but yeah, he was too concerned w/ making a buck at any cost w/ the compilations and whatnot. For every, say, eight CDs that were worth buying (like the ones listed above), he'd put out, like, twenty-four CDs (or so it seemed) that were recyclings, reissues, or just plain garbage. He was supposed to have something new out this year, but I don't know if it came out or not...

You can buy a mansion in ATL for like 300,000 thats why lol, living is cheap and you can make a lot of connects in the south, huge market which also is big on being independent. Alot of people do it, daz got a nice house out there and im sure JT does now too.

LOL yeah JT caught a lot of heat on siccness for his recycling. you're on point about the decent albums he released. his solo projects were decent/dope. I actually liked when he fucked with the C-Bo's, Killa Tay's, AP-9's, Guce's, etc. and G-Man Stan, Sean-T and himself were handling the production. the Daz & JT albums are nice but it's the same "let's milk the industry" process. like he capitalized of Daz's notoriety, he did the albums in less than a week, pressed them and got the money upfront for them. and recycled songs from totally different projects he wasn't associated with, like One Ninin' from Daz's R.A.W., weet Love from 4-TAy's introduction to Mackin' on the first project. and Change The Game Remix on Game 4 Sale. the albums have serious slaps though and I liked Daz & JT's chemistry and the features (Killa Tay, Telly Mac, Sean-T, Yukmouth, Mac Mall, etc.). but yeah JT was shady on that second album LMAO, with "Snoop Dogg" mentioned in the features on the album cover and not even a decent booklet like he used to do. I'm pretty sure the "Game for Sale" album contained for the most part leftovers from the "long 2 fillmoe" session + solo JT/Gamblaz tracks + various tracks (change the game). that's where their beef started from by the way.
always liked Tha Gamblaz, that's the type of artists JT should have stayed developing. Telly Mac dropped an album in 09 or 10, "project general" or something like that, nothing to marvel at lol.

JT said on Siccness he moved down south cause there were no more money to be made for him in the Bay as of now. he has had connects in the south and midwest since the early 90's and one of the artists he put on a long time ago (Zaytoven) is having a nice buzz and rep as producer, so i guess he decided to tag along and see where he can go from that situation.

Yeah, The Gamblaz were tight! I forgot about that one CD that they did on 2000 (Ghetto Platinum), which had some slaps! There was another one that JT put out by them in 2003 called Thunderous Muzik which I was kinda disappointed with...it had a few good songs but seemed rushed (probably was). Another disappointment was this one CD that he put out by Seff The Gaffla in 2002, Leathal Weapon. What was on there was decent, but it was too damn short, something like 29 minutes! LOL! I vaguely remember hearing something about Seff going to jail for something around that time, so maybe that's why the CD was so short, but still...I was hoping for a decent follow-up to Livin Kinda Lavish! Hopefully, the move to Atlanta will be good for JT, and we'll get some decent music from him again.
But yeah, there were some comments on the Siccness from posters about JT's recycling that were downright threatening! There was this one dude who kept getting banned, but he'd change his name and re-register, and you could tell it was the same guy because he kept spamming the board w/ posts calling out JT. His pet name for JT was "Gay-T" (brilliant, huh? LOL)! He'd also call JT an "internet chipmunk" and he accused him of promising "magic carpet rides" to artists. The dude was OBSESSED, almost stalker-ish! It was funny, in a way, but kinda weird, too. But old school Get Low from the 1990's will never die! Damn, I miss the 1990's... :(
