Going to see Dj Quik this sat. in tulare. Is he a good live performer? Does he play his newest music or does he go through his classics as well

A dope performer. Starts with his old shit and finishes with the new.

You probably won't see him for at least half of the show. Expect a lot of local L.A. rappers, some good, some not so good. Even when Quik finally comes out, he often just lets them steal the show. When Quik finally takes center stage, things get good.
He'll hit you with his old classics, some new joints, playing the keys, rapping, hell, even crooning a Nate or El Debarge hook.
Never stops moving. By the end of the show, everyone's up on stage...A west coast party.
He's truly an MC...

I have seen him a couple of times and was never disappointed. I was expecting his shows to fall in line with his videos, where he is center stage and grooving, but he was pretty active and does a great job of projecting positive energy through the crowd.
The only time that I have seen him share the stage like gfunkin2 mentioned was during a residency that he had in L.A. He has a great discography, but it would be hard to stay on point with weekly shows at the same venue for a couple of months.
Enjoy the show.
