I was goin through my albums the other day and brought out Chico & Coolwada - Wild n' Tha West...........It's a really dope album with sick westcoast beats, i think most of it was done by Glove Iron or something like that("Got my nigga Glove behind the boards" from Puffin Blunts and Drinking Tanquary")
Anyways, does anyone know what these dudes are up? Have they dropped anything since this album, I sure hope so, cause these dudes were tight.

That was my favorite rap album of 2001. Glove did every track except High Come Down (Battlecat) and for me it was like a perfect rap album. I remember trying to promote it a little bit on here but not many people got it. Shame.
All I know about them now is they're off MCA and they had one song on the West Coast Bad Boyz 3 album called We Bust ft. Dapadawn. That was decent too.

It was one of my fav's of '01, it's a VERY nice album, underrated as fuck though.

OMFG! I totally forgot about them...I just seen Kaidys post where he mentioned "High Come Down" and I was like "Oh shittt..." I just started singing it to myself...LoL...Damn...That brings back some memories...I'ma go listen to that album now...PeACe

Hell yeah, I remember gettin this when it first came out... i can bump every song... shit was slept on... even in tha West Coast, they played High Come Down on tha radio alot but not many people caught on to C & C... I say that cuz everytime I introduce them to somebody they're like "Who are they?".... and usually people get into it...

All else I know is that they were on Dapadawn's CD (Chico on Two-Thousand-One and Coolwadda on My Life) but that was also 2001 as well.
Wild N Tha West was a really solid album with consistant production and nice guest spots by Nate Dogg (of course) Kurupt, Defari and King T, too bad it didn't do what it should have.

LOL I remember when the C&C album just came out and me and Criminal_909 was like the official fan club. shit i even had their album cover as my avatar for like a month haha.
So anyway to keep this thread alive, what was everyone's favorite tracks from this album? Mines was Godzilla Like and Pussyfootin, although there really wasnt one track I didnt like.

Central Bookin was definitely my favourite cut off the album. It took me a couple of listens to figure out each verse was about how the got each stike. Fuckin' Dope.

I really like it. I just got it last week but it's really all that I've been listening to (well, that and MC Eiht remixes). It's just a well compiled album, apparently he'd been trying to get signed for quite some time. My favorite tracks are My Life (I don't usually like East/West collabs but I like this one a lot because the styles don't clash), Cali Parlae and Crenshaw. There's also a nice track called Dear Son like a letter to his son. Kenny Kas does most of the production, who did We Bust. I found it as a cutout at a local store for cheap so I picked it up and am glad I did.
About C&C, I also love Beach Cruiser but the High Come Down/Pass It Around/Godzilla Like arrangement is too nice to ignore, it's like I can't listen to one of those without listening to the others.

I just did some searching and I found that C&C are signed to Faith Evans label 'Pedigree' which goes thru Arista. It didnt have any news or anything, just listed their names under artists.
