What the fuck is " inane " ?  Do your homework about the subject before u comment,  faggot .He openly says that he is against cussing in music and critcizes those who do it ..Remember when Eminem dissed him about it ? Watch most of his movies and he curses consistently ...

It's ironic that Woll Smoth plays the same ignorant ass coonifcaters in movies that he decries in the rap scene...

He actually criticises those that do? If that's true then I see your point a bit. I always thought he doesn't swear coz he just doesn't want to.

But anyway come on. In films he's in character... not representing himself. He'll say whatever the director tells him to say.

He simply wanted to be a feel-good, sunnyboy type of rapper appealing to the mainstream kids and their parents, in contrast to 90s gangsta, foul-mouthed decadent nigger rappers. I doubt he is actually offended by words like "damn" or "shit". And Eminem simply dissed a lot of pop stars during that time, Will Smith being a rare black one.
"Will Smith says he doesn't have to cuss to sell records... Well I do, so fuck him" Classic Slim Shady, nigga.

Will's rapping career started when Hip Hop was about being yourself rather than up-holding some hard-ass gangster image and there wasn't any need for cussing, and it's not like it hasn't worked for him so far. If he started cussing now it'd be like selling out.

The difference is, Will Smith had the strength of a teen program titled "Fresh Prince of Bel Air". Very popular, and is still shown on Television here. That show was global, and was an insight into urban slang for a majority of outsiders, and he used that to promote his status as a "rapper" plenty of times.

Eminem had none of the above. He simply had his foul mouth and names of celebritys to diss to get noticed

I know, that's what I meant by things working out for him.
