Title: Best beatmaker-rapper team in west coast rap music history?
Post by: Jay_J on January 02, 2012, 12:50:06 PM
I think most of you gonna say "snoop dogg and dr.dre"
yeah, maybe they are the most succesful beatmaker-rapper team comes to mind first when we are talking about west coast rap.

but yesterday, when i was listening "all eyes on me" album of 2pac in my car, i realized how sick it is to lose both of 2pac and Jhonny J
Every song that 2Pac rapping on a Jhonny J beat, you can feel the chemistry and how they can double each other's talent and put out an iminitable sound

so bad they can't produce songs for us anymore...

however ice-t and dj ace are still alive. but they didn't try to make an album like "7th deadly sin" again. they did last "money power women" for ice-t's greatest hits album.
i may agree that it was the best song they ever did together. if it was a "goodbye" from them, its sad but it was succesful and the best "goodbye" they could say...

so sad they are alive but not working together anymore...

Let me hear yours....

damn i forgot  snoop and meech....

Dr. Dre isn't really a beatmaker though, he's a "producer". He again took credit for a beat he didn't do on the new T.I. mixtape. How blind are people if they can't see what he's doin.

wrong...while dre does have in-house producer who lay down skeleton beats for him to produce, he also makes his own beats as well. to say dre doesnt make beats is a joke.

I know they are in a group together but I'm gonna say Muggs and Cypress. Outside of that, I would say 2pac and Johnny J

Scott Storch said that usually Dr. Dre makes the drums, so i guess you can say he does create a part of the beat. It's mad funny that like 30 people have said that Dr. Dre takes credit for beats he doesn't make himself, but i'm not gonna get into this again. You can continue to believe what you want and i'll continue to believe what i want.

and thousands of people who have worked with dre have been in awe and said he is easily the greatest producer to walk this earth, labeling him a musical genius....whats ur point? at the end of the day, dre has made his own beats, as well as produced other skeleton beats brought 2 him. he is the definition of a true producer.
