Post by: Vigilante on January 31, 2003, 01:46:51 AM
:: Warren G to Reveal The G Files //
Warren G has just a signed a new deal with Artist Direct and will release his fifth album The G Files: Case # 213 by early summer. Warren said this is his most personal album to date. "The G Files is letting everybody know my story. Everybody know about the LBC and Warren G and know its time for people to know me and really feel me…and tell the history of Warren G and what I’ve contributed to the game.”

Warren also just signed an endorsement deal with MasterCard, adding, “They’re trying to break into hip-hop so who better to break in than with Warren G, I got the crossover audience and the ’hood so its all good…we’re doing commercial giveaways and the whole nine.” The LBC producer/MC also recently closed a deal with JVC who will release his Warren G Signature Series, 12” and 10” speakers and 2 and 4 channel amps in April.

Those who dont know Artist Direct is actually run by Ted Field the guy who co founded Interscope with Jimmy Iovine ,and after in depth talks with everyone involved in this project including Damizza all are agreence that this new album is his best since his first and the production on this is very close to that original sound,apparently the production is amazin on this lets keep our fingers crossed!!!

Sounds dope, hopefully the production will live up to his older stuff and we'll get another classic from him.

Fo sho' when i first heard warren g it was like damn!
Hope that by signing with a new label he can come back with something that shows how good he is and not something that the label determine.
Sounds like a damn fine prospect tho, cant wait ta hear it!

This is great news, I was worried the bad reception of his last album put him off making music! ROTR was one of the best releases of 2001 imo, it deserved much more props than it got. Oh well, thats the music industry for you. Let's hope this album does better for him.

Should be a dope album. Hopefully, Mr. Grimm will drop some of his tight verses again! I wouldn't mind to hear something like a "Return Of The Regulator" Part II...

While its defintely good news to here that Warren is droppin  a new album this year , I would suggest to all of you not to hold your breath for a 213 album this in 2003 apart from all the good intentions from all members involved word from everyone I have spoken too about this project is DONT BET ON IT
