NEW YORK -- The U.S. has added Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers and Portland's LaMarcus Aldridge to the 18 holdovers who hope to go for more basketball gold.
The Americans announced a 20-player pool Monday, a list from which the 12-man Olympic roster will be chosen in June.
Other than the two newcomers, the remaining players all represented the Americans at either the 2008 Olympics or 2010 world championship and have said they wish to be considered again.
Returning from the team that won gold in Beijing are: Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard, Chris Paul and Deron Williams. Back from the reigning world champions are: Kevin Durant, Derrick Rose, Tyson Chandler, Eric Gordon, Rudy Gay, Kevin Love, Lamar Odom, Chauncey Billups, Russell Westbrook and Andre Iguodala.
Nobodies fuckin with that squad lol

My roster would be:
PG: Paul/Rose/Williams
SG: Bryant/Wade
SF: James/Durant
PF: Aldridge/Love/Griffin
C: Howard/Chandler
With the way Bynum is playin now Id prefer him over Chandler but since hes not in the pool Chandler gets in by default.

I feel bad for the world lol.

^ Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, probably the only reason he hasn't made it is injury, cause a healthy Bynum is way better than Chandler. On a separate note I think you put Bosh on the team based on him completely outplaying Howard in Beijing. His game isn't perfect but it does fit the international style very well as opposed to Dwight who struggled. Not saying you don't give Howard a chance, but Bosh deserves a spot.

I'd go with Bosh as well.. don't really need 2 major rebounding PFs when you already have Howard.. but I really don't know about Love OR Griffin, I'd flip a coin or some shit.

Aldridge bitchesssss

FIBA is all about stretch bigs so the question is who has the less reliable mid range J between Aldridge , Love, Bosh and Griffin ? Easily Griffin , Bosh did played well for the US in 08 aswell
Team USA lineups against every opponent not named Spain :
PG: Paul/Rose/Williams
SG: Bryant/Wade
SF: Durant/Melo
PF: Lebron/Aldridge/Bosh
C: Howard/Love
Against Spain you start Aldridge at the PF since they start the Gasol Brothers

^ Did LeBron ever play the 4 on the team? I remember Melo doing it but not LeBron, he's definitely big enough but Melo has a much better back to basket game.

lol, look at that lineup. We don't need to talk game plan. It's not even fair.
