Hmmm. Shady really dropped the ball on yelawolf if you ask me. That song with kid rock should have been the first single. The song with lil Jon was a good album cut but nothing more, not single material. Especially considering lil Jon hasn't been relevant for years now. And what's the point of making him record a bunch of songs with poppy female hooks if you aren't using them as singles?
Maybe they've learned the lesson this time and going with a commercially viable song.
-
Because nobody cares about lil Jon and it wasn't catchy. It was a very poor choice for a single in these times. Maybe in the 90's or when lil Jon was at his peak would a song like that be successful.

Yelawolf is being marketed as a rock artist. It's about the long haul, not the typical first week hip-hop/

that's tighter than a bowl of grits

rock artist? who he fooling?
That's the way I see them marketing him. I mean, the video with Kid Rock world premiered on Rolling Stone. Smart from a sales standpoint.

but Kid Rock has long hair

How has the album being doing sales wise? I haven't looked.

I think Slaughterhouse has a chance to do some pretty decent numbers. I don't know what the fuck happened with Yelawolf. I didn't even know he had an album out until it already dropped. I can see Slaughterhouse have a big hit single if everything lines up right but nothing is guaranteed, these days.

Lol at that name. Are Slaughterhouse going to have the typical Shady 1st single?
Probably one of my most anticipated albums this year, should be crazy. Yela's album was cool but yeah they definitely dropped the ball. They need to drop "Radio" as a single, that song has hit written all over it
-
^Even though they dropped the ball on Yelawolf's album on the charts, overall Yela & Shady still put together one of the better albums of last year.
Hopefully it carries over into Shady's work with Slaughterhouse.

I'd say anybody who was a fan of yelawolf before the album was disappointed. I know I was.

I hadnt listened to much Yelawolf before the whole Shady deal but ive only heard Trunk Musik and i dont know how you could be let down, it sounds like Radioactive imo, he just switched up it up alil and slapped some chick hooks on some songs, i'r rather listen to those than the Rock sounding tracks on his first one (rock and rap doesnt mix if you ask me lol)
-
I just saw they're selling Radioactive for $3.99 on Amazon, must really be tryna get those numbers up
