Title: Who is "The Voice" of the west?
Post by: TidyKris on January 29, 2012, 05:26:53 AM: Who do you think is the voice of westcoast hip hop?

By this i mean who's voice do you hear on a track and you automatically think westcoast, like the voice represents westcoast hip hop?

For me i think it has to be Nate Dogg, no matter what track i hear with him on i always think wescoast, g-funk etc!!

thats seems quite on point!

For me i still think Nate has that westcoast voice, for me anyway! I feel snoops voice has become quite universal over the past 13 or 14 years.
Especially since he has been doing guest spots on pop songs, i dont automatically think "old westcoast style" when i hear him now days, unless its his old stuff
