LeBron James at #3 is a sick joke.

Carmelo has no rings, plays no defense, dishes no assists, doesn't get rebounds like that & scores less.

The same can be said about McGrady too. I've never seen such blatant hate.

No way is Carmelo better than Lebron. One could argue for Paul Pierce but that's about it.

But seriously, Carmelo is meh.

Pretty sure Robert Horry always played PF. Rick Fox was the Lakers 3.

Tracy McGrady was always a 2 guard no?

Pretty sure Robert Horry always played PF. Rick Fox was the Lakers 3.

i think horry played the 3 in his earlier years, either way he was still  a stretch forward and no particular to just SF or PF.

t-Mac was a swingman along with joe johnson and  vince, and butler.

swingman = sg/sf (you know like combo guard = pg/sg, forward center = pf/c , point forward = pg/F

t - mac played point and the wing position but he played mostly an off guard.  but its not far fetched to label t-mac or joe johnson, butler as a 3.

everyones listing is going to be different on who u label as a "PF and center, PG and SG, SG and SF, etc etc etc"

like duncan, he plays a lot of the 5, but look at his skill set, he's a power forward and no way is he a traditional center, and he wil never be a center in my book. just isn't one, he can play the 5 doesn't mean he is.

still one of top 5 scorers in the 2000s.

i just felt like houston did a horrible job managing him. they shouldn't played him at all till he was better.

3. Carmelo Anthony
4. Tracy Mcgrady
5. Vince Carter

7. Shawn Marion
8. Grant Hill
9. Peja Stojaković

McGrady was best at the 2 so i put durant ahead of him.

You have a point, but Carter was a beast for virtually the entire decade, whereas KD had a good rookie season and an all star caliber sophomore season on a lottery team.

well wasnt sure to count 10-11 if that one isn't then he would drop.

Vince felt like an elite SF for only a couple of years. He was a good player after that but never thought he was as great as others. Durant is only in his 4th season and i think is playing at a higher level than Vince ever did.

Oh, I'm not disagreeing that KD is presently better than Vince ever was, I'm just saying that Carter's stats/accomplishments throughout the decade were more significant than KD's first few years in the league.

Nah man, if it were that would of added a bunch of younger guys, but we can make a list but k be based off what they've done so far, their careers r not finished,

We can pass grade to the 2000s though most r. Done or near the end

We'll have a 2010s thread 10 years from now

i dont get it...joe johnson, tracy mcgrady, and vince carter were all primarily shooting guards in their prime years and thats where they should be ranked in terms of position lists. mcgrady is somewhat understandable amongst SFs, but VC and JJ should definitely NOT be in any SF lists..sure, they've played at small forward, but every shooting guard has played small forward. when it comes down to it, they're still shooting guards, just like gilbert arenas is a pg. same with Odom..he's played most the decade as a PF, so thats where he should be ranked. lastly, where the FUCK is ron artest?? come on.. Artest was a DPOY in his prime and didnt start declining till '09-'10.

anyways:

1.Paul Pierce
2.LeBron James
3.Carmelo Anthony
4.Ron Artest
5.Peja Stojakavic
6.Caron Butler
7.Andre Iguodala
8.Rashard Lewis
9.Shawn Marion
10.Hedo Turkoglu

how was vince? when he was young at his peak on the raptors he played small forward. He moved over to the 2 and never played as good in my eyes. That is why i have him there. He played much more often at the 2 over the decade but i saw him play best at the 3. the same way Jermaine O'neal played best at the 4 before he was moved to the 5.
also i had artest.

watching basketball?

he played SF in 98-99, 99-00 and he played much more aggressive in my eyes at that time.

PG Alvin Williams
SG Vince Carter
SF Doug Christie
PF Kevin Willis
C Charles Oakley

'99-'00 was:

PG Mugsy Bogues
SG Vince Carter
SF Tracy McGrady
PF Antonio Davis
C Charles Oakley

u must be confusing him with someone else
