Tip and the West Coast veteran are linking to lens a video for a collaboration.
T.I. and Dr. Dre are reportedly shooting a video for their collaboration "Popped Off," included on Tip's latest mixtape release Fuck Da City Up , or a previously unheard duet.
In a series of tweets, entertainment manager Antonio Hewlett announced a casting call for a T.I. and Dre music video. The clip will be shot in Atlanta, Georgia next weekend.
Tip, who previously worked with Dre on a leaked Detox track "Topless," recently spoke on developing the chemistry between him and the West Coast veteran in the studio.
"He got hot beats and I got dope rhymes, so we can always get together and make music," he said. "But for people to feel what we're sayin' and for it to sound like a party comin' through your speakers, you gonna have to create some chemistry. So that's what we spent more time doin' than anything else; developing that chemistry."

I really doubt that it's a new song.

Detox is a 14 Year Plan
Near the final stages of the plan you release 1 video for consecutive years before you cancel do to Artistic integrity.

Why would people expect it to be a new track ? I don't get it
-
well hopefully the beat is fully completed (some issues with the one on the mixtape) and there are different verses. didn't appreciate dre's eminem-written verse at all :-X

don't know. LOL. it is a new track. the lyrics and hook is new and the beat is new. just the same sample used by others which is very common. a great visual for the mixtape.
-
they'll probably record those track(s) for trouble man since they shootin the video in atlanta.
-
that'd be cool to have a video
-
Why would you spend money on a video for just a mixtape track that's been out a while now?
Surely must be a new track...

^ Same reason T.I. shot 2 other videos already off that same mixtape
Promo lol
Videos aren't THAT expensive nowadays and I'm pretty sure T.I. & his label have the funds

Oh, word?
I didn't know people were making vids for mixtape tracks (I don't check too much newer hip-hop), I guess seems reasonable to assume it's for that track then...
-
Don't think videos cost too much either. The cameras you can get for the $$ are pretty dam good these days. I heard Dre & TIP are recording a new track(s) and it'll be one of them.

Videos for mixtape tracks now??
lol. I'm getting sick and tired of these rappers nowadays putting out albums in the guise of "mixtape". All so that if (and when) they flop, or fail, they can turn around and state that it's "just" a mixtape and that it doen't matter much, and try to maintain their discography or legacy in some way...
It aint a fkn mixtape... If you're putting time, and effort, and shooting videos, and getting Dre on it, then it's a fkn album

I may be wrong, but there are no royalties or clearance issues involved with mixtapes.
Buzz singles, web videos and mixtapes = promotion artists don't seem to have funds for (signed or otherwise)
