The Game has been ordered to pay $5 million to US police officers who appeared in his 2005 film Stop Snitching/Stop Lying.
A North Carolina court upheld a 2010 ruling yesterday for Game to pay $5 million in compensatory damages to five Greensboro police officers.
According to MyFox8, the officers filed a defamation suit against the West Coast rapper and Bungalo Records, Inc. in 2006. They claim they were libeled and slandered and that their identities were wrongfully used in Game’s DVD Stop Snitchin’ Stop Lyin’.
The footage was originally lensed during an incident in October 2005 at Four Seasons Mall, where Game was supposed to perform. After mall security asked them to leave for disturbing the peace, officers arrived to arrest Game for criminal trespassing, communicating threats and disorderly conduct.
Officers claim that the footage was “heavily edited” for the DVD and made it seem as though Game was wrongfully arrested.
Each officer would receive $1 million each for the compensatory damages. Additionally, they claimed $10 million in punitive damages, though the appeals court decided that a new trial will determine if the damages are warranted.

Just goes to show, speech ain't free
This isn't a free speech issue. You can have an opinion about anything you want but just because you have a forum, it doesn't entitle you to misrespent facts regarding a person or instiution. You can't unfairly damage someone's reputation publicly and call it "free speech". For instance, it's one thing to say "I think the way I was treated was unfair" and another to say "the way I was treated was a violation of my civil rights".

You're definitely right about that. If I were to break it down what I should have said is choose your words or something along those lines.

5 million bucks, that's a big smack down.
To the feds 'n' all, Po-Po got paid.
Game will have to put in some serious work shifts, Nicolas Cage styles.
