Santos vs. Prindle won't happen again.
Santos came in overweight at 277.8 LB.
With Santos missing weight, Prindle was declared the season-five tournament victory and will now meet Bellator heavyweight champion Cole Konrad at a later date.
The season-five Heavyweight tournament was pretty much cursed. First Santos couldn't be in the tournament because of Visa issues. Then two of the four quarterfinal winners (Ivanov and Hayes) end up having to withdraw so Santos is back in as is Grove who has already lost. Then the final ends up being a no contest. Ivanov gets stabbed, Hayes jumps ship to Cage Warriors, the final gets delayed again and then finally cancelled. And Grove is about to fight in Super Fight League, his first non-Bellator bout after six in a row... I can't imagine Bellator is too happy with how everything ended up playing out. Hopefully they'll have Better luck for their next HW tourname
