Diplo and Snoop Dogg will be jumping back in the studio in April in hopes of completing a full-length album they’ve been working on for some time now. The Mad Decent boss confirmed that he’s executive-producing the record, that it’s a reggae album, and that Snoop Dogg will be singing on it.
Diplo said, of the album:
“It’s all reggae and he’s singing and he’s doing a fucking awesome job and I never knew it, but he had his heart in every song.”
And Snoop is quoted as saying about the project that he’d be “reborn”, and:
“This record gives me an opportunity to the world of the stadium,” he said. “Those are the kind of songs that last 40, 50 years.”

Snoop and Diplo previously collaborated with each other on the song "That Tree"

Snoop is also set to record an R&B-album with Raheem DeVaugn, entitled "Grown & Sexy"

I'm excited, hoop it will be more roots reggae than that modern day Sean Paul bullshit.

Strange you think Snoop would be doing a Funk type of record (P-Funk mostly). Well it worked for Cypress, it could work with snoop. 8)

Can't take anyones word when it comes to snoop albums cause they always end up a totally different product. I remember when he was gearing up to make malice n wonderland there was a old school movie score composer that said he was working on the album and nothing ever came from that. Its gonna end up a mixed bag like all his others
-
Well we'll see. I'll check it for sure. I dont listen to reggae on my own, but songs like "bombudd" from Quik are the shit.

i thought the same thing...if it's a roots reggea album it could be dope, if it's polished pseudo-dancehall, he can keep it

Snoop can't put out a cohesive rap album so there is no chance of him putting together a full good reggae album
