People don't generally dedicate reviews to individual songs. Try an album next time.

The purpose of a song review is.....what? It will take literally 10 seconds of someone's time to hear it and decide if they like the way it sounds. A review isn't necessary. Who's gonna visit your blog because of this? If it was some complex metaphorical song and you were breaking down the meaning, that'd be one thing. But all your review is saying is "this song is awful because Dr. Dre is featured on it." You don't say anything about the sound except "chill beat." You don't say anything about the lyrics except "Kendrick is dope, Dr. Dre raps like him but is awful"
-
What a horrible review. That song is great and this is the first time I like dre's rapping since dre/chronic 2001. Yes it's obvious he sounds like Kendrick but it's better than when he sounds like eminem. The song, the chorus, the vibe, lyrics, are all tight..

it's not a horrible review its just that you disagree with my opinion. there's a difference between the two.

???
are u famous or "somebody"? do u write for XXL, Rolling Stone, Vibe or The Source?
why should i read a random interent-kids blog-"review" for 1 song?
-
My question to anyone who doesn't like the way Dre raps on the track: what's your beef with it? I think it's the best and most comfortable he's sounded since 2001, easily.

its not that his voice sounded bad but its the way he completely mimicked kendrick.

nope just a kid trying to get to one of those magazines.
well, if you clicked on the link you would see all my other album/mixtape reviews.

Thing is that Dre actually sounded better than Kendrick on this track IMO. Too bad the beat sucked and the hook was weak and the layout of the song was poor. I'm starting to think Detox is not coming, and it is probably a good thing. The people that Dre is working with now days are subpar.

If you really want to write for those magazines, let me give you some advice. First, you should avoid to just give your opinion on a song. And if you do it, at least try to explain a little bit more what you're thinking.
''To start off the track Dre comes in and imitates Kendrick's flow pretty much identically (he sounds ridiculous attempting it)''
Sorry sir, that is your opinion, and I tought that the Dre verse was pretty good. You could say that it is different than the flow we're used to hear him rap, or that it sounds forced to you. But to say that he sounds ridiculous just shows hor much your review really sucked.
The hook is mediocre? Why is that? It's too repetitive? It's not lyrical enough?

Shit sounds great.. because Dre produced and Dre is the greatest producer ever... Aside from that though, the subject matter is too much like the bullshit that South/Cash Money bullshit that killed hip-hop. So I guess I feel kind of lukewarm about this track right now, but because it sounds so damn good it may grow on me.
As for the review, I don't like the review, because Dre is a legend, and you dissed Dre.
