I know its old news again but do you remember that old Suge interview after pacs death when he was talking about the shooting?
When he said about when Pac got hit and Suge got "hit" in the head he and pac had a conversation whilst suge floored the beemer before getting
pulled over by the cops. He said that he told pac that he was going to get him to a hospital but pac LAUGHED and said "its you that needs to get to the hospital, youve been hit in the head".
He also says some more shit about the convo he and pac had and that pac was laughing and joking....now come on??
I cant see pac even being able to laugh after he got hit never mind wanting to laugh and joke. What are your thoughts?
-
suge was full of shit.

Suge also told a story about how he rescued Pac from drowning. Dead serious lol.
I have a feeling Pac never hung with dude like that unless it was in front of a camera. From the amounts of info we've gotten over the years, I think its safe to say Pac loved / appreciated Suge for getting him out of jail, and making him richer was how he was showing his loyalty - but he had NO interest in being a long term Death Row artist and even less interest in being Suge's bff.
I also believe that LAPD officer that said Orlando had Pac killed and in return Suge had Biggie killed.

yup Suge said that in a XXL or Source mag, dedicated to 2pac. I probably still have it sitting in my magazine stack.

Regarding that drowning story, there's YouTube footage of Fatal talking about that same incident during an interview, except he said it was somebody's daughter (possibly David Kenner's) having jumped in to save them both (not Suge saving Pac), though Fatal described her swimming as being like a dolphin. Suge's recollections are usually exaggerated and/or skewed.
I do think Pac's friendship with Suge (in terms of being around him) certainly extended beyond camera opportunities, as Suge didn't really get in front of the camera much until 1995 or so around when Pac signed, so it's not like Pac was doing it because it was expected, as Dre, Snoop, etc. didn't really do it either, at least not to that same extent. But again, perhaps Pac felt like he had to put in so much work in every different way because of how Suge backed up Pac when no one else did (at least no one else who was in a position to make moves) while giving him the opportunity to rise again to the top of the game, coming back stronger after having been robbed, shot and incarcerated, not to mention dissed and placed in the center of prison rape rumors.

it was rumored that pac wrote "never had a friend like me" as a dedication to his and suges friendship.
i really do think that they were really close at the beginning of DR, after suge got pac outta jail, but pac soon realized suge for what he was and advising the lawz not to sign to deathrow, beginning his own label, signing his own artists etc. , beginning to seperate him from DR and Suge.
-
I'm assuming their friendship goes back to 93/94 when Above The Rim and MWTC soundtracks came on. Pac said something to the effect Suge paid him six figures for a track for Murder Was the Case that was never used.
As far as the shooting goes, take Suge's words with a grain of salt. I think he once said the bullet was still lodged in his head, yet somehow he was able to do an MTV interview within days of the shooting.

Suge said that (about Never Had a Friend like Me) being about him in an issue of XXL, if I'm not mistaken. In that same issue, I remember him saying how after Pac got shot, people were sending him flowers while he sent Pac a bulletproof vest with the Death Row logo on it.
I don't think Pac wanted to keep the Outlawz away from Suge as much as he just didn't want them to sign and get bound to everything by contract. I think Pac felt Suge was a cool guy, one who is advantageous to have on your side but more importantly one not to be siding against. But I think his qualm was that to Suge, the money was never enough, and he always wanted more and more of it. I remember reading that when Pac would do side projects, Suge didn't always approve unless he was getting a piece of the action, like when Pac wanted to start a video production company with one of the ladies who he worked with and call it Look Hear Productions (which I think you can see on certain original reels of some videos) but without Suge.

Yeah, Suge gave him $200,000, which Pac blew in no time. I remember reading that a lot of it went to lawyers, then he bought a Mercedes that he crashed immediately, then he bought another one that he supposedly just gave to a friend of his, since the guy admired the car so much.

it's very likely... according to Mopreme & Stretch, Pac was laughing he saw them after the Quad Studios shooting

That was different though. Pac's gunshot wounds from his New York shooting weren't exactly life-threatening. In Vegas, he had internal organs get hit... a shattered lung will fuck you up. Either way, I don't know about Pac and Suge joking, though it's possible that Pac may have been trying to stay positive, but of course Suge may have exaggerated that. I think Frank Alexander (who I consider to be a liar but you can figure out what he's being truthful about) saying that when they had arrived at the hospital, Pac was saying that he couldn't breath as he was being taken out of the BMW and put onto a stretcher, which coincides with his lung being struck by a bullet.

lol , i thought there was gonna be a picture

Yeah thats what i was thinking, due to his being shatterd and also hearing the story that pac was saying he couldnt breath is what made me doubt
the fact that he could have been laughing and joking after he got hit.
Although i dont doubt that fact that Suge & Pac were very close friends i think this may just be a case of Suge romanticising the events straight after the shooting
-
-I think Suge was just trying to make the point that he got shot too, so therefore nobody should suspect him of being involved. Which is actually a true statement. Although I doubt Pac would of been able to talk or laugh after getting shot as brutally as he did.
-Call me crazy but I always thought that "Never Had A Friend Like Me" was about cigarettes, or to a larger extent, addiction. Just something that popped in my head during the song.

Basically. He did that not only throughout the rest of that same interview but in damn near every other interview from that point forward. I highly doubt that Pac went to Suge for direction (like when Suge said that Pac asked him, "Where do you see me in the future?" and responded with saying that he wanted to see Pac with his own record label), called him in the wee hours of the morning to the point where Suge rushed to Pac's house just to hear his ideas about the Makaveli album cover, etc. And in the later interviews, don't forget about when Suge said Pac ran up on Snoop at his hotel room in New York after the VMAs and punched him (after hearing his comments about his willingness to work with Bad Boy), though it was pretty funny when Suge said Snoop cried and threw up. Obviously it's not true, but it's just hilarious to imagine.

That's interesting, but there's not much to support that idea. But I won't lie, you saying that made me wonder and read the lyrics.

Yeah that is all clearly bullshit, its quite funny to hear a man like Suge telling child like lies like that. That Snoop thing is funny, ive not heard that one before.
Its like when Daz & Kurrupt were beefing and Daz would say that Pac wanted to stay in a hotel room with Kurrupt so he could whoop his ass all weekend then Kurrupt would come back and say it was Daz's ass that pac wanted to whoop lol!

I think he said it in The Source, probably the one where they had multiple covers that month, the most prominent one being with Suge... this is the cover that I'm thinking of, though I'm not sure if it's the same issue with the actual interview:

I don't think I believe either of them. Daz was always a liar (I've mentioned before the dumb shit he said to Eazy-E when he, Kurupt, D.O.C. and Michel'le called in on the radio and argued with Eazy and Layzie Bone, not to mention the stupid shit he used to say on the DPG Recordz forum, like when he claimed Suge had kidnapped Kurupt and basically held Kurupt hostage in New York, or how he said he was going to enlist in the U.S. Army after the 9/11 Attacks, or how he once said in an interview that he had 700 unreleased songs that he did on Death Row), and Kurupt was saying some dumb stuff at that time that was hard to believe, like how he was claiming that on Death Row, Daz got beat down, stripped and raped at Can-Am.

Did Pac die cuz of drug game or other shit?
-
I remember watching a programme on this and Suge said that when the bicycle cops caught up with the beamer they couldn't get the doors open to get 2Pac out so Suge had to go over and show them how to do it. I guess we'll never know exactly what happened.
