To start, awesome website. Just played the recent radio show and had to sign up straight away.
I, like everyone else, was under the impression that "the west was dead" and I was listening to the eulogy through Warren G and 2pac and shit. Now I click and I hear Dollah D with a 2011 crazy dope song, Ice Cube dropping something dope, Too Short with a nice track. The only real current westcoast rappers I listen to is Game, Mac Lucci and Nipsey Hussle, and although they arent exactly the G Funk stuff I love best, they do their thing.
With G Funk in mind, who are the current guys doing stuff that I wouldnt have heard of? To hear dope tracks coming out makes me think that they've always been coming out and it's just that nobody seems to speak of it much. And is there any old school westcoast rapper still bringing out the old school tracks? I've heard the likes of Warren G and guys like that and they fell off with some of their albums and didn't really have the same sound as they used to so with guys like Too Short and Cube dropping a nice track recently, is there many worth looking into?
\X/ for life!

Im sure you guys have a few suggestions so hit me up.

If you're looking for that west coast sound, youŽll probably like J Steez, XL Middleton and a few French producers (i.e. Doggmaster, DJ AK).

Check out underground west coast stuff, it's dope. Different from mainstream stuff.

Dom Kenney has that throwback sound you're looking for. His lyrics kinda suck but depending on your taste you might not care.

Check out the last WC album "Revenge of the Barracuda"! I think you might like that. Also the song by 1st Generation "Killin Me Softly". And check out Young Maylay. Check out the song "Sauce Angeles" by Young Maylay.

@Hood Crawler, any specific suggestions man?
@BG Rapsodie, yeah I'm into guys like NaS and stuff who might have dope lyrics and meaning, but sometimes you want to throw on some Warren G and chill out and vibe to it. Will check out Dom.
@Escowino, appreciate it man. WC usually doesnt let down so Ill scope it out. I never though to listen to Young Maylay. Just completed San Andreas 100% so seems appropriate.
