I'm fresh off the clock (well about an hour in) and I'm currently watching "sucker free countdown" and I see the video for "The City" come on. Shawty.... it kinda sounds like Kendrick killed Game on his own shit. I'm definitely not saying Game wasn't saying anything on the song becuz he IS but I'm sippin some Tequila and Orange+Pineapple Juice and Kendrick mirked him. I admit I don't play this particular song like that even tho it's definitely ight but this nigga Kendrick mirked him lol.
*speaking of Kendrick, once AGAIN he was on MTV's Sucker Free Countdown. Thats one of the realest programs on TV and The Breakfast Club (along with Big Tigger and Free from 106th n Park, Russ Parr and Crew, Tom Joiner and his folks, rotated in with Steve Harvey and family)
-
There's a reason game put that verse last, no way he could follow that!
-
The funiest thing is game saying "the best the west ever seen" just before kendricks verse.
-
Lol
-
If you have Kendrick Lamar on your song, that ain't your song no more, it's his. Dude just destroyed it.

Yup, bout right.
-
Yeah, definitely. Game's flow on this one wasn't good either, and Kendrick just killed Game. Even when the beat cuts out, he's still killing it. Anyone else, I probably would've skipped it once the beat stops, but I still listen to it till the end before that woman starts talking about the color red.
Plus I liked that Manny Pacquiao reference too, haha.

Kendrick had the best verse on the entire Drake album.

True. But son goes on everyone's album & has by far the best verse. He had the best verse on that Game tape too.

I can't compare them. Different styles.
-
Kendrick even did his thing on that nu Meek Mill album too.
-
it wasn't hard for kendrick to outshine game on that track.. game fell off.
lol @ slaughterhouse comparisons ::)

Slaughterhouse level of rapping? He's already dropped 3 projects better than anything they've done.
-

And with all of that "level of rapping," they still haven't done anything significant.
Say what you want about Kendrick, but shit... he performed his song with Dre onstage at fucking Coachella. Not even Game performed despite .
Meanwhile, Slaughterhouse is signed to Eminem (who performed at Coachella too) and hasn't really caught a break yet, at least not a globally visible one, outside of Crooked I's tattoo fail.

kendrick is good, but he's overrated like a mufucka on this board..

Lol at overrated, if you look on practically any hip hop site they'll list "Section 80" as one of the top albums of last year. Believe the hype. Hey Nik, maybe if he rapped about ripping old ladies noses off with the claw of a hammer you might dig it?

It was all original material and sold on iTunes, how was it not an album? Even so, they still classed it as album of the year, mixtape or not.

lol @ NIK saying he's overrated because he doesn't sound like an idiot rapping about murder & raping.
He's far from overrated. He's actually probably one of the best artists in the game.

I know this is gonna sound contradictory but I see both sides of it. On one hand Kendrick has proven himself to be a relevant act from the Wesf which has been getting DBo'd in Hip Hop since 2002 (until recently), and on the other hand he has a legitimant buzz (he has a few niggaz in the whole DMV who know his name who aren't even in the slightest looking for a career in entertainment. Kendrick needs that big/nice Solo record to put him out there.
All I can say for sure is he's already surpassed Bishop Lamont in terms of relevancy to the time. The other bootleggers only knew Bishop around here from that "Be Cool" record (and not too many from what I knew at the time), and he didn't even Rap on that or promote it as a single. But that's just around my way, I'm pretty sure Kendrick has a bigger buzz than that already but he does NaeED that solo record for sure, his online buzz is probably as good as it'll ever get
Him and Meek performing "A1" in the studio http://m.worldstarhiphop.com/video.php?v=wshhk4t1s70bgo3wY4s7
I woulda released the video for "The Recipe" before the mp3. It woulda had a bigger splash just becuz it was a new Dr. Dre feature video. Now it's getting older and the buzz from the song is dying rapidly, MMG just dropped a new tape and Kanye is fuckin Kim Kardashian. #justsayin

You're another old head, Hack. So afraid of progression. There are some people on this forum who won't even allow themselves to listen to artists who hit the scene after 2003 lol.

You mentioning the song with Dre reaffirms his statement about you being afraid of progression. Anyways, yeah he destroyed Game on that. It's funny how defensive game stans get about it

and thats a part of why he's overrated... i mean, don't get me wrong, it's refreshing to hear a new talent in an era where almost every1 sucks.but to put him on the levels of the GOATs is wrong. he aint there yet.
and yea..."coathanga strangla" > "section 80", if thats what ya askin?

Maybe nobody in Slaughterhouse is the GOAT and maybe Game ain't either but all of them dudes are sick in their own way. I'm a fan of Slaughterhouse and The Game
Slaughterhouse are good at what they do and Game has bangers.

Right because saying a 3-year-old group with one average album aren't GOATs is dissing them. I bet you have every verse of Hammer Dance memorized.
