was there ever only one pressing of the 1998 2CD release of this from Navarre/Breakaway/Dogg Foundation, or was there another one?not including the 2011 reissue from Thump. I've got two copies of the '98 release, and while the cases are identical, the backs of the discs themselves have different numbers encoded, as one as one release showing a logo for Discotronics. anybody know anything?
-
Only 1 I believe. These became quite hard to get after a couple of years, and seen them go up to silly prices. not something you'd expect from a title that was re-issued
-
I used to thought that there was only a print for those navarre discs. Post a pic of that discotronics shit. Thanx in advance.
-
Unless someone done a shortyo and bought rights to release it???
-
Can´t remember a Discotronics version from 1998 but yea...., upload a pic man!
-
there are 2 versions of the 1998 release: the regular one and an edited (clean) version.
but a pic of your 2 versions would be the best way to identify them. never heard of 2 different pressings of the regular (explicit) one
-
I can only remember 2 different pressings of the original 1997 Death Row G-Funk Ckassics Vol. 1. The EUR disc and the Canadian one.

I would like to share pics, but I tried taking them and I can't get the discotronics logo to even show up. It's a tiny logo only on the backside of the discs, along the center ring. the kind you have to hold at an angle/have light hit it just right to even see. It did see Made in U.S.A. though. anybody else who has the set should try looking at the backsides of the discs, the logo doesn't appear on any of the packaging.

That's just the manufacturer of the compact disc, then, not a relevant data if you ask me. It's cool anyway.

so then the mastering on both the Discotronics manufactured CDs and the other ones should be identical then? like, if I took Disc 1 from the Discotronics manufactured, and Disc 2 from the other and combined them into a case, I could sell it as the full CD set without any problem right?
