I'm a big fan of 80's and 90's hiphop movies, everything from Wildstyle to Juice to Bout It.
I've probably seen nearly all of them even the cheapass ones like the one Snoop did with the Eastsidaz I still like those.
There's two I haven't seen and wanted to know if they're any good. Thicker than Water and Streets is Watching.

can't compare "Juice" with "the cheapass ones", even if only in terms of budget & professionalism, or movies made for the theatres with straight to dvd releases.
bear in mind "Thicker than Water" is low budget, ain't a masterpiece but it's still entertaining when you love the music. the other one I haven't seen.

Streets Is Watching is really bad. The acting is is either hilarious or unbearable, depends on how you look at it.

Typical rapper movie if I recall; some local drug dealers turn into big time drug dealers and take over their city. Never saw Streets is Watching, always assumed it was a documentary for some reason.
Basically tho, you've already seen Thicker than Water if you've seen State Property or Belly or Get Rich or Die Tryin or Millionaires Boy Club or Tha Eastsidaz or so on. They're all Hip-Hop versions of Scarface.

Thicker Than Water had decent production values but the story was pretty laughable. I remember one scene where Fat Joe goes into a meeting with a record executive and ends up pulling a gun on him.
I would disagree in your overall comparisons of those films though. I thought "Get Rich or Die Tryin" was probably the best of the ones you mentioned and "Millionaire Boyz Club" a.k..a. BELLY 2 wasn't just the worst out of the list but probably one of the dumbest-written movies I've ever watched.

It was pretty good though kind of all over the place.
