Gregory van der Wiel's agent Hakim Slimani has revealed that the Ajax defender would be interested in a transfer to Real Madrid if the opportunity arises.
A number of recent reports from Spain claimed that the Liga champions are closely monitoring the right-back, and the 24-year-old would welcome a chance to move to the Santiago Bernabeu as he has set his sights on the step up to one of Europe's elite sides.
"Real Madrid are an absolute top club, and Greg wants to move to a top club," Slimani was quoted as saying by NUsport.
"There are about 10 top clubs in Europe, and a number of those clubs have shown an interest in signing him. I can't say which teams are after him, and what the status of their interest is, though.
"He has won two league titles and is ready to make the next step in his career. Euro 2012 is coming up and it is the ideal stage to show his qualities. We'll look at the possibilities after the tournament."
Van der Wiel has a contract with Ajax until June 2013, and the Amsterdam giants are ready to cash in on the defender this summer.
The Netherlands international recently turned down an offer form Roma, while a move to Valencia fell through due to Los Che's reluctance to meet Ajax's asking price.
