Title: Doggy Bag vs. Dogg Bag
Post by: doublee313 on June 10, 2012, 05:30:24 PM
I figured I'd start a topic to compare the 2 new albums.  It's about a week early but we have some samples from Doggy Bag which sound good.  We have nothing yet from Daz off Dogg Bag so it's a mystery.

Doggy Bag gives us some old classic Deathrow era DPG.  From the samples it's a treat for anyone that is a Dogg Food fan.

View this thread for samples:

What will Dogg Bag offer?  I have doubts on this due to Daz's lack of professionalism.  If he has some old songs then that would be nice (if the quality is decent).  Anyone have any samples on this yet?

At least we have some new DPG material coming out, so it's something to look for.  It's been quiet lately so it's better then nothing.

Even if it's all theatrics it's crazy how they're fighting themselves.  I mean they're competing against theirselves.  I know that's gotta be a little crae

they did the same in 2001 when they released "Dillinger and Young Gotti" and Death Row released "2002"

but they did that outta beef.  i know in tha back of their minds even tho they gettin paid they're like "damn, why they still trippin off our old shit, we got better music than that".  i mean why else would they need 2 feel to compete with this, that's stupid.  they're fighting to prove theirselves against theirselves... crae

Nah.  I meant Daz and Suge.  Same thing happened with Dre and The Chronic 2000.  But they are trying to play it off like that even tho they probably aren't.

But this is a confidence/pride thing

People have to buy records in order to receive royalties. Did anyone buy that OFTB cd?

Daz tweeted a video promoting dogg bag. Think it had some session music playing in the background.

My guess it'll have the recent stuff off the nik bean tape, stoners ep and some new stuff. Daz will keep the good stuff back for their next album.

We can expect Doggy Bag from a professional company.  Daz hasn't posted a tracklist or anything so I doubt he's doing to do anything.  I'll be enjoying WideAwake's release for the few tracks that we can finally have next week.

I don't know if I'd call WideAwake 'professional' but at least they are putting something out. As for Daz, I'm assuming he forgot he was supposed to record something after selling his equipment on his latest crack binge.
